Community matters 👏👏👏

Floating alone on a life raft…that’s how my mum’s FTD diagnosis felt at the start. 🥺

In this clip from my conversation on the Your Brain on Mom podcast, I share the loneliness and isolation that came with those early days and why finding connection became so important to me. Nobody should have to go through something like this alone. 🫂

That’s ultimately why I created my podcast: to find community, to share stories, and to remind others they’re not drifting out there by themselves.

It was such a powerful conversation with Wendy and Barry - thank you both so much for having me on 🤍

Happy Easter 🐣💛

Today looks a little different for us. The big home-cooked meals have been swapped for a buffet, and honestly…an M&S sandwich platter saves the day. 🙏

If your Easter feels different this year too, whether that’s through loss, change, or life just looking a bit unfamiliar - I’m sending you so much love and a big, warm hug. 🫂

You’re not alone 🤍

“Why aren’t Admiral Nurses shouted about from the high heavens?!”

If you remember nothing else after a dementia diagnosis, remember this ⬇️

👉 Admiral Nurses are there for families too

👉 You don’t need to have everything (or anything) figured out

👉 You can even call before a formal diagnosis

So many families are left feeling lost, overwhelmed, and alone - when this support exists. We need to talk about it louder.

📢 Please share this so more people know

💾 Save for later

After a dementia diagnosis, families are often told to ‘go and get their affairs in order’ and then left to cope alone. 💔

But the emotional impact is huge - you’re in no headspace for practical decisions. In this clip, me & Natalie talk about why follow-up support is essential, and how a simple check-in weeks later could change everything. ✨

🎧🚨Tune in Tuesday!🚨🎧

We’re dropping a special bonus episode between Seasons 2 and 3, featuring the brilliant Natalie Carter, host of The Dementia Dialogues podcast.

Earlier this year, I joined Natalie on her show to share my family’s journey with dementia and now she’s joining me on FTD Navigating the Cr*p. ✨

In this episode, we talk about what inspired her to create The Dementia Dialogues, the themes that come up again and again in her conversations, and some of the standout moments from her podcast.

We’d love for you to listen in and join the conversation. 💬✨

Tune in Tuesday wherever you get your podcasts 🎧

Navigating Christmas alongside dementia isn’t easy. I’m learning to drop the pressure and make room for how I actually feel. If this season feels tough for you too, I’m sending love. 🤍🫶
