Do you feel you are enough?
Are you always striving to be more?
Have you learnt you don’t feel you are enough because of parents, society, the media or even friends?
It’s so interesting how we gauge ourselves and our enoughness. I feel that we let too many outside influences guide and shape our thoughts about ourselves and we need to listen to our inner guides and believe that they are the best authority on ourselves because no one knows you better than yourself.
As parents, business owners, daughters, sons, partners it’s easy to feel guilty about not being or doing enough, we judge our mistakes (or life lessons) on the people we were years earlier when we knew less and did our best at that particular time.
We need to let it go but it’s bloody hard isn’t it, those stories and scenarios replay over and over in your mind and make you feel s**t about yourself. You imagine how you could handle things differently and how it could turn out if only you was different, but we are not different, we are us, the great bits, the crappy bits, the trying hard bits and not giving a crap bits.
We are unique and beautiful and messy and complicated and ENOUGH.

It is the full moon tonight, what are you letting go of?
This year we’ve been given an allotment, a whole new little patch of earth to tend and it’s been such a gift. I’ve been growing things in the yard for years, squeezing pots into sunny corners, filling old containers with herbs, salad, and flowers. But having an allotment has opened things up in a different way. More space, more wildness, more possibility. And less slugs!!
There’s something deeply magical about growing your own food, even if it’s just a few leaves of lettuce in a pot. You plant a seed, wait, nurture it, and suddenly you’re eating something that didn’t exist before. Something you helped bring into the world.
If you’ve never grown anything before, you don’t need a garden or loads of time. You just need a bit of curiosity and a willingness to get your hands in the soil. Here are some gentle starting points:
Easy Things to Grow in Small Spaces:
Salad leaves: quick to grow, perfect for pots, and you can keep picking them
Radishes: super fast and satisfying for beginners
Herbs: like mint, chives, parsley, or basil they do well in windowsills or old tins
Spring onions: can be regrown from shop-bought leftovers in a jar of water
Tomatoes: especially cherry tomatoes, which love a sunny windowsill or warm wall
Helpful Tips:
Most seeds want warmth and damp to start try planting in yoghurt pots or trays indoors
Use peat-free compost if you can, and give your plants plenty of light
Don’t overwater let the top of the soil dry out a little between waterings
Label your pots (you will forget what you planted, we all do)
Be patient some things grow slowly but steadily (this is a massive lesson I am learning)
There’s no need to be perfect or to grow everything at once. Start with one thing. Watch it every day. Speak to it if you like. Get to know how it grows.
Plants are some of our oldest teachers. They remind us that time isn’t wasted when things are unfolding quietly. Growth happens underground, unseen, before it ever shows up in the world.
If you’ve ever wanted to grow something but didn’t know where to start, this is your nudge. If you already grow things, what’s worked well for you?
And if you have any questions whether it’s about compost, seed saving, slug battles, or which plants are easiest ask away below. We can figure it out together.

Wonder isn’t just for children. It’s for anyone brave enough to slow down and look again.
Wonder is like a muscle, and like any muscle, it gets stronger the more we use it.
Here are 3 ways I practice wonder daily.

The UK is so s**te right now, yes I said it, the government (no matter which party are in) are out of touch, following an agenda of the WEF, and ruining the country. This debacle is the latest thing.
Normally I keep my page uplifting and don’t say much about politics etc. But this is crazy, and all part of the plan of not being able to grow your own food.
Angela Rayner has given the green light for cash-strapped councils to sell off allotments to raise funds.
As Housing Secretary, the Deputy Prime Minister has given councils “flexibility” to sell some assets, including allotment sites, to fund day-to-day spending.
She has already personally approved the sale of eight allotment sites across England since Labour came to power.
Those that have already been sold include a site in Storrington, West Sussex, that will make way for 78 new homes. She has also given approval for two allotments in Ashfield, Notts, and two in Bolsover, Derbyshire, to be closed.

Good morning you delightful beauties. It’s another wonderful day despite what you see on your socials, there is still lots of fantastic things happening.
Today I’m enjoying moontime (menstruation) breakfast in the yarden.
Did you know the foods you eat can impact your cycles and hormones?
This is a simple and delicious breakfast, to support your body at this sacred time.
Brown rice can help with menopausal symptoms like hot flushes, it is rich in magnesium and helps balance blood sugar levels, and helps your gut as it contains fibre and selenium.
Recipe;
Wash and cook 75gm organic brown rice according to packet
Once cooked drain any excess water off and add some cinnamon and ginger powder (1/4 tsps each)
Add oat milk (or plant based milk of your choice) until rice is just covered, put back on to heat through and allow most of the milk to be absorbed.
Serve in your favourite bowl and top with chopped walnuts, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds and nettle seeds.
I don’t add any sweetener to my foods but you can add a drizzle of Maple if you like.
Nettles are rich in iron which you need to top up at this time, Pumpkin seeds are full of zinc and have high levels of fatty acids which help maintain healthy blood vessels, Flax balance blood sugar levels and are high in Omega 3 which is good for your brain.
I hope you have the best day, noticing the little things in your real life, like a fuzzy bee bum in a flower or how soft your skin feels, or sharing a cup of tea with a loved one, or being chosen by a dog in a cafe (isn’t that just the best when they come to you for a love) or taking a moment to be grateful for your feet and how amazing it is they take you where you want to go! There is plenty of division right now, and it’s coming thick and fast, it’s on purpose, don’t fall for it, don’t play into it by sharing it, it’s a play, a theatre production to create hate and even more separation, because unoted we are strong and thats what they fear most.
I know certain things are terrible, and this is shared massively to, again for fear, fear makes you ill, fear keeps you small, fear keeps you in your place, don’t be fearful, the world isn’t as bad as they make it out to be. It’s not about being ignorant or burying your head in the sand to what is happening, it is about asking yourself, can I do anything about this, really, and I don’t mean virtue signalling, I mean real tangible things, if not, let it go and concentrate on what you can do, be part of your community and help people or animals or both, where you live, because you see that makes a real difference, and those ripples will spread out and things will change for the better.

Happy 1st of the month!!
Can you believe it is August already, this year is flying past.
Want to learn more about August?
The ancient Romans knew it as Sextilis, before it changed to honour Augustus Caesar.
The Perseid meteor shower, peaking in mid-August, graces the night sky with its dazzling display. Known as the "Tears of St. Lawrence" in some traditions, this event invites us to wish upon the falling stars, and believing in their power to bring good fortune and manifest desires. As the "Dog Days of Summer" reach their peak the heat is often linked to the ancient belief that the star Sirius, the Dog Star, intensified the sun's warmth. This period of warmth and vitality is a reminder of the sun's power and the life-giving energy it bestows upon us and the planet, it is good to get out into the sun when you can (especially this year) to soak up as much vitamin D as possible.
August is also a time of abundant harvest. This period of gathering and preserving aligns with the Pagan celebration of Lughnasadh, a festival dedicated to the Celtic god Lugh, honoring the first fruits of the harvest. Birds begin their preparations for the long migrations ahead. And today I saw the first colourful butterfly yay!!
Astrologically, August is governed by the fiery Leo and the earthy Virgo. Leo, ruled by the sun, infuses the month with creativity, confidence, and a vibrant energy that encourages bold actions and expressive endeavors. As the month progresses, Virgo's influence takes hold, bringing a grounding energy that emphasizes practicality, meticulous attention to detail, and a nurturing spirit. This shift mirrors the natural world's transition from the carefree days of high summer to the more reflective and preparatory phase leading into autumn.
The flowers of August are gladiolus and the poppy, these flowers represent strength, sincerity, and imagination. The peridot, August's birthstone, with its green hue, is believed to offer protection, healing, and a connection to the heart chakra.
If you enjoyed reading this, you would love the zines I make, the August zine is out now.

Face that fear, do that thing you have been putting off, challenge yourself, I know you are braver that you imagine, I know that from each set back or hard time you have had, that it’s made your stronger and more resilient, I know that you sometimes doubts your abilities or think “I don’t deserve it” or you listen to others around you who want you to live small because it makes them feel comfortable.
But darling, it’s not about them, this life is for living, this life is for you to experience the most amazing happiness and adventures. You have totally got this, so let go of the doubts, leave the fear behind, I know you may be nervous and not knowing the outcome, but that’s totally OK, nerves are the same feelings as excitement, it means we care. You don’t need to know the outcome or how you will get there, you just need to start.
So today, make that first step towards your dream, I believe in you, you have easily got this 💗🙏🏻

Our Story
I create change through art, mentoring, organising events, creating publications, opening community places and encouraging people to live their best lives with inspiration.
We are inseparable from nature and the natural world, sadly many have forgotten this bond, which is needed to thrive and suvive for us and the Earth. I feel very strongly about re-awakening what is naturally inside all of us, I am on a continuous spiritual and evolving journey and I feel that my soul purpose is to encourage others through my art to rediscover the connection, make better life choices and be filled with contentness, peace and to nourish the natural world, developing stronger bonds with her. I am a spiritual, botanical artist, herbal plant lover and deep thinker.
Right now we are at a pivitol time in his-story, climate change is one of the most pressing themes in the media, veganism is at an all time high, trees and forests are being sold off and cut down at an alarming rate, fracking is polluting the ground and waterways, natural disasters (caused by greed) are happening on a daily basis all around the world, affecting humans and animals, whole species are being wiped out.
A lot of people are asleep to all of this, instead focusing on reality tv, the weekend and how they look, it is like the connections of the old ways have been lost, maybe this is by design, especially if you go back through his-story and look at the way healers, herbalists and indigenous people have been condemned, killed and ridiculed. It is not good for business or profits, having knowledgeable, resourceful or aligned people with a platform or voice to create change.
You can find me on all social media as Dotty Delightful, if you want to buy any of my art, channelled tarot readings, magazines or ask for a custom birth/moon chart to be created for you, pop over to my Etsy page https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Dottydelightful
