I’ve been feeling a shift lately when it comes to Facebook and social media in general. While it’s been such a useful place to connect, I also see how often it can get heavy, full of arguments, noise, and division. That’s not the space I want to hold or spend my energy in.

Over 10 years, spending 3 hours a day on social media would total more than 15 months of your life, gone, just like that!

I’d much rather pour into places that feel calmer, kinder, and more intentional spaces where we can share creativity, inspiration, and encouragement without all the extra manipulated division.

That’s why I’ll be stepping back from posting here, and instead sharing more over on my two Patreon communities. And doing more in person gatherings too. Both of the Patreon sites have free options, so you don’t need to pay to stay connected.

In 2028 we start a new cycle, a cycle of abundance, light, and a more conscious way of being, right now and until then we are in the throes of releasing, letting go, changes, huge companies will close, disasters will happen, financial establishments will collapse and the governments will try anything and everything to keep control.
This time can feel hard if you buy into the doom and gloom of what’s being offered, and pushed, so as I say many many times, switch off the news, don’t listen to fear, know these stories that are told are lies, smoke screens, distractions to keep you ill or submissive, when we follow our own path, when we delight in the small things, when we work on ourselves to understand ourselves better, we can’t be fed lies and accept them, we can see through the illusion and we can’t be controlled.

I feel excited and blessed to be alive in this time, because there is a new world emerging, one filled with love, hope and possibility, a better world for all.

It is really important you look after yourself now, connect to nature as much as possible, meditate, journal, choose well what you put in your body, what you allow to enter your ears and eyes and what you put on your body. And if it feels right for you, connect to God, it’s in these times of unsteadiness that an anchor is helpful.

It’s not our anniversary I’m just sharing about love

We’ve been together for 19 years, how have we lasted and how are we more in love than ever?

Mainly it’s effective communication and respect for each other, actively choosing each other daily and putting the other persons needs in the spotlight, asking “do you need help”, or wondering “what can I do to make their day better”

Never calling each other names, or saying hurtful things, knowing that you are wound up and walking away and working on yourself to see why you feel this way, what in the past has come up to trigger this in me, taking time to really ponder about it. And then if needs be talking to your partner about how you feel, not blaming and shaming.

Also being really grateful for the relationship and love, noticing daily how amazing and special it is to have each other. Knowing what your love language is and appreciating the effort no matter how small.

On a practical level, Ta**ra has made us fall in love with each other all over again, giving each other wonderful words of affirmation each morning before Tom goes to work and making time to really connect before being separated for the day.

I know we are very blessed to have this and have each other because I know it’s a struggle for many couples, when one person wants to ‘do the work’ and the other doesn’t. That can be really hard, effective communication can really help, and if it doesn’t work between you, maybe a counselling session could help.

I was reading the bible today, 1 Corinthians 13.4 it says “Love is patient, love is kind, love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way, it is not irritable or resentful. It does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

Isn’t that lovely. It really spoke to me.

It’s a mast year for many nut-bearing trees, especially the mighty oak. A mast year is when trees produce an unusually heavy crop of nuts or seeds, far more than usual. Some say it’s nature’s way of ensuring that enough survive the deer, boar, and squirrels to grow into new trees. In folklore, a mast year was often seen as a gift of plenty, a sign that the land itself was offering up abundance. This year the branches are heavy with acorns and the ground is thick with them.

As we forage for wood, we gather them up and scatter them in thickets and clearings, hoping they’ll take root in the new year. Tossing them into bramble patches works especially well, as it gives them a better chance of escaping hungry deer and other wildlife. Over the years, we’ve seen great success with this simple act of seed-sowing.

We do the same at home too. Acorns in pots are just as easy. There’s no trick to it, no secret method. Think of how they fall naturally, rolling and landing on their sides beneath the tree. That’s all you need to copy.

Some are green, some are brown, but now is the time to plant them. A handful of acorns today could mean a grove of oaks tomorrow. Give it a try 🙂

Monday is reset day, the day where I do the housework and focus on those faffy jobs that never seem to get done, like moving my Pothos and directing it along the opposite wall in the kitchen.
I think it will like its new spot.
