A few weeks ago I’d never touched CAD software in my life.

Now I’ve designed and 3D printed my own headlight setup for the Disco 😅

This project taught me that most things are learnable if you stick with them long enough.

I filmed it on my YouTube channel if anyone wants to see how they turned out

I made some 3d printed headlight adapters for my discovery 1. Too...

It’s been a while since the old girl had some proper TLC. Life’s been busy, projects everywhere and the Disco has mostly just been used and abused lately, so today was all about giving it a clean and appreciating it again.

Still can’t help but smile every time I look at her 😁

3D printing first project is coming along nicely!
The prototype is complete and I should have a set made by the end of the month. There’s a bit of fine tuning to be done but I’m very happy with the way it’s looking 😁

I’ve been looking back at old pictures of my Landy and it got me thinking. I love the look of the old bfg all terrains. They are getting hard to find now but a similar looking tyre is the insa turbo rangers. Has anyone had any experience with the insa turbos? Any info would be appreciated. Cheers

Learning CAD, it’s coming on nicely! I might even have a prototype printed this week 😁

This photo was taken a few years ago on a greenlaning trip through the Lake District, looking out towards the Old Man of Coniston and Coniston Water. Sat behind the wheel of my Discovery — a vehicle I’ve owned for many years now — it felt like one of those moments where everything slows down for a minute. No noise, no rush, just mountains, rough tracks and the sound of the wind outside the window.

That’s what I’ve always loved about this old Land Rover. It’s never just been a vehicle. It’s been part of the memories, the road trips, the breakdowns, the repairs, the late nights in the garage and the early mornings chasing views like this.

Funny how a single photo can take you straight back to a feeling.
And sometimes, the best journeys aren’t about getting somewhere fast — they’re about finding places that make you stop and appreciate where you are.

Looking back at when we first got our roof tent.
The disco looked different and the whole camping setup was simple.
Now the kids are a bit older is it time we changed the tent for a bigger one that 4 of us can fit in or do we keep it for just the two of us? These are the things I think about regularly, I want to give the girls memories they will never forget.

I’ve been pretty busy at home lately with a few house projects, so I haven’t had much chance to get out and make videos.

Looking back through some clips from our trip to the Langdales in the roof tent has honestly made me realise how much I need to get back out and do more of this. Simple time away, good scenery, and just switching off for a bit.

If you haven’t seen the video yet, you can watch it here:
