Wadebridge Cricket Club are set to host the Cornwall v Somerset game on 4th August 🏏

This is a really exciting moment for the club and the entire community!

It comes as the Wadebridge 1st Team recently made history, beating St Just in the Edwards Cup Final last week. They will go on to represent Cornwall in the National T20 Cup on 3rd August - so it will be a very busy and exciting few days!

HEYCROFT OPENING THIS SUNDAY 🌷

Heycroft, Trevanion Rd, Wadebridge PL27 7NZ is opening for the National Garden Scheme 1-5pm on Sunday, 13th July.

This compact, colourful, town centre garden is a horticultural paradise with lots of interesting and unusual specimens.

Money raised goes to a range of health and nursing charities to support their amazing work.

Preparing for Adventure 🥾⛰️

Claire Pearce, our advertising lead - who many of you will have chatted to if you’ve ever advertised with us - is taking on the ultimate adventure this autumn.

In November, she sets off across the globe, landing in India to walk the Himalayan Foothills. She’s doing this to support a charity close to the hearts of many here in Cornwall: Children’s Hospice South West.

As a mother herself, this challenge is going to be a big moment for her. In addition to pushing her body to the limit, tackling tricky terrain and high points in the foothills, this will be the first time away from her family.

Claire says: “Thank you to everyone who has already donated. This is such a remarkable charity that supports so many children with life limiting and terminal conditions, as well as supporting their families.”

Claire is trying to raise £3,500 for CHSW. The Parent Teacher & Friends Association of Wadebridge School are hosting a quiz night and bar on Friday, 11th July at the school hall.

There will be a raffle on the night, and the PTFA are still looking for prize donations, so if you’re a local business who would like to donate a prize, do get in touch with the team!

Funds raised will support the school.
