Founded in 2009 MyDidThat aims to offer a product a bit more special than the picture brought home by your little loved one. Instead of corners fraying and paint cracking, immortalise the artwork by simply sending it to us. We create posters, cards and postcards from your child's/pupil's artwork. We also fundraise for schools PTA's nurseries and charities by organising art exhibitions. Here's how
it works:
• Children produce artwork in the school setting
• We collect the artwork from the school
• We transform each piece into a high quality framed A3 print (named and titled)
• We produce invites and posters for the exhibition
• On the pre-arranged date we transform a space in the school into an art exhibition (we generally exhibit a piece from each child in the school)
• Parents are invited in to admire their children’s work and purchase their child’s print
• We recommend a retail price of £15 per print.
• For each print sold the school receives £2
• Any unsold pieces are taken away when the exhibition is dismantled
• We do not charge for any unsold artwork
• All original artwork is returned to the school
• We do special offers for parents with more than one child at the school
We find this process not only raises funds for the school but gets kids excited about art and boosts their self-esteem to see their work "in lights". We have also found that the event acts as a great marketing exercise for the school, as local newspapers often report on the occasion.
