Deer Shed Festival and EMI North are thrilled to announce the selected artists from our Apply To Play programme ✨

We have chosen 3 artists (rather than just 1) because of the volume and breadth of talent that applied 🌟

Cowboy Hunters, Dilettante and Neve Cariad will be performing at Deer Shed in July!

These artists will also be supported in the next steps of their career, receiving a series of invaluable mentorship and advice sessions from the EMI North Team 🫶

This year we've partnered with EMI North - the UK’s first major label office based outside of London in the UK. They have a very simple goal: to support and invest in artists and creatives across the North of the UK, helping them to find new audiences and build their careers 🧡

This opportunity is exclusively open to artists based in the North; we welcome applications from artists coming from underrepresented backgrounds and we enjoy all music; Deer Shed prides itself on the diversity of genres on the line up. 🦌

Come Play With Me Records has announced Next Up North – an exciting new development programme for emerging artists of marginalised genders and sexualities from the North of England.

With support from Arts Council, Breed Media, Crowdable, Eiger Studios, GLOW Artists, Tileyard North, and un:hurd music, the Leeds-based label is offering six artists the chance to take their music to the next level.

Successful applicants will receive PR and radio support, studio time, feature on the Next Up North compilation vinyl, access to workshops, mentoring and more.
