🚨Three kids rushed to hospital after Pendulum fair ride collapse as emergency services in large numbers response

Emergency services were called to Maltby Crags Fair this evening after three children aged 11 to 13 suffered minor injuries on a ride.

They have been taken to hospital as a precaution.

The fair has closed for the night with police cordons in place.

Blyth Lane was briefly closed between Muglet Lane and Victoria Road but has now reopened.

🚨 TWO MEN CHARGED OVER BRADFORD JEWELLERY SHOP ATTACK

Two men have been charged with robbery following an alleged attack on a jewellery shop in Bradford.

Mohammed Balmakhear, 27, and Denzel Deneus, 34, both of no fixed abode, have been charged with robbery and remanded in custody.

The pair are due to appear before Bradford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Saturday).

The charge relates to an incident at Royal Jewellers on Manchester Road on Thursday, September 10.

Teenager charged after 13-year-old stabbed in Leeds

A 16-year-old boy has been charged after a 13-year-old was stabbed on Bank Holiday Monday.

He faces charges of wounding with intent, possessing a knife in public and possessing a Class B drug.

He appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody. A further hearing is set for 16 September.

The incident happened on Shepherd’s Lane.

Woman dies after car hits wall near school

A 65-year-old woman has died after a black Kia Sportage collided with a wall in Paddock, Huddersfield.

Officers were called at 7.45am on Thursday (10 September) to the junction of Heaton Road and Church Street.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The local school was closed as a result.

The Major Collision Enquiry Team is carrying out enquiries into the collision.

M621 back open both ways after police incident

The M621 between the M62 and J2A near Leeds has reopened in both directions after an earlier police-led incident.

National Highways confirmed both carriageways are now open. Residual delays of around 10 minutes remain on the approaches.

Traffic had been stopped from around 3.41am with emergency services on scene.

Man seriously injured in Sheffield Parkway lorry crash

A 49-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries following a collision on the Sheffield Parkway last night. The incident, involving a Scania lorry and the pedestrian, happened on the outbound route just after 10pm on Wednesday.

The lorry driver remained at the scene and is assisting the police.

Man seriously injured in Ossett motorbike crash following police pursuit

At around 3.30pm today (Thursday), a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after crashing his motorbike on Owl Lane in Ossett.

The crash happened shortly after the rider failed to pull over for police officers, leading to a brief pursuit.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
