Have you spotted these cute little cleaning robots in town? 🥹

Victoria Leeds has enlisted the help of two actual robots to keep their floors polished and clean! 🤖

Named by the cleaning team, Rex patrols Victoria Gate and R3 cleans the Victoria Quarter arcades, keeping the city centre shining 🧼

The little helpers mean that the human team is free to do other important jobs around the centre, and ensures that virtually all the mopping is done before shoppers descend on the Victoria Leeds shopping centres in Leeds city centre!

The inside of this Leeds restaurant is stunning 😍

Izgara have been quietly making a name for itself on the food scene in Garforth 🤩 and it’s hard to believe this gorgeous place used to be a bank! 🤯

The food looks just as good as the decor - made by chefs with over 30 years of experience in Mediterranean restaurants! [AD]

Everything is made from scratch and cooked over a real charcoal and wood fire 😋

They’re only in their second year, and won the 2024 OpenTable Diner’s Choice Award 👏 so the future is looking bright!

Izgara also host different themed nights throughout the week so it’s definitely worth checking out what’s on - from Tapas Night on Mondays, to ‘Izgara Style’ Sunday roasts… 🤤

If you’re looking to plan a party or an event, there’s plenty of options for private dining too - including in the old steel bank vault! 🤩

That’s us told 😳 Lewis Capaldi slams Leeds in hilarious rant over ticket sales! 🤣

The popstar appeared on The Graham Norton Show this week to promote his new tour, and joked about how tickets to his Roundhay Festival Leeds gig were “not selling well” compared to his other dates 😬😆

He suggested Leeds folk buy a ticket “for someone you DON’T like” after addressing the city directly on camera and asking “what the f*** are you playing at”.

Lewis Capaldi was the first act announced for the all-new Roundhay Festival coming to Leeds over summer next year. Pitbull and Kesha have just been added to the lineup too 🙌

Capaldi sat on the sofa alongside the likes of Taylor Swift and Cillian Murphy on the BBC One show - after performing his new single ‘Something in the Heavens’.

He asked Graham Norton if he could “speak to the people of Leeds” and joked that our pocket of the country seems to “hate his f****ng guts” 😮

We don’t hate you Lewis, promise!

A train paying tribute to legend Rob Burrow is now carrying passengers through Leeds and across our region 💛💙

Northern have named one of their trains after Leeds Rhinos player and MND campaigner Rob Burrow. Artwork of the local star covers two carriages and features an image of Rob playing rugby.

Inside, the train has been decked out with a timeline of his incredible achievements both on and off the pitch.

Rob passed away from Motor Neurone Disease in June 2024 and spent the final years of his life campaigning with friend and former teammate Kevin Sinfield to raise awareness of the condition and raise funds for treatment.

Northern worked with Rob’s family and the MND Association to create a design that commemorates his life and raises awareness of the disease.

What a touching tribute to wonderful man 🤍

Mr Worldwide is coming to Leeds 🤩🌍 Pitbull will headline Roundhay Festival 2026!

The Grammy winner is the second star announced to perform at the new festival in Leeds next summer - he’ll be joined by singer Kesha on Friday 3rd July 2026 🎤

Lewis Capaldi was the first headliner revealed, with Roundhay Festival set to welcome “the world’s biggest stars” to the city.

Capaldi will perform a day later on the Saturday, while organisers say that “many more acts” are still to be revealed!

The event is run by the same team behind BST Hyde Park in London and follows the news that Roundhay Park can now host shows with crowds up to just shy of 70,000 people.

Who do you want to see announced next at the festival? 💬

The iconic derelict building by the A61 flyover in Leeds is being demolished!

It’s become one of the most recognisable sights in the city - especially for the thousands of motorists who pass it every day 🚗

The striking shell of South Point - more commonly known as Ambassador House - has stood vacant for over a decade.

Demolition crews are now tearing it down, to make way for a new ‘Cinch Self Storage’ facility.

Back in 2015, Leeds-based telecommunications company AQL bought the derelict building, with plans to turn it into a new data centre… but those plans never came to be.

Are you glad to see it go? 💬

Did you know you could once see Ed Sheeran for less than a tenner in Leeds? 🤯

Some HUGE artists have graced stages across the city, and you wouldn’t believe how little it cost to see some of the world’s biggest stars!

Ed Sheeran tickets in 2011 were just £6. When he played Roundhay Park 8 years later, they were more than 10x the price, costing about £75! 💸

Back in the 80s, it’d cost £31.50 to see both Madonna AND Michael Jackson perform at Roundhay Park!

To see Blur in the 90s at the Town and Country Club (where the O2 Academy now is) it was just £7.50!

Safe to say, you wouldn’t catch these artists at these prices anymore 😅

Leeds’ newest street art honours our city’s incredible sporting heritage! 🎨

You may have seen some new murals popping up all over the city. They’re to honour Leeds’ connection to sport!

On the side of the Reginald Centre in Chapeltown, a huge mural honouring Paralympian Kadeena Cox has been created! The mural’s colours and imagery connect to various parts of Kadeena’s life and heritage, and it’s not far from where she grew up 🙌

Over at Leeds Dock, there’s artwork recognising Leeds’ rapidly growing skateboarding scene, designed by Melody Murals 🛹

At Kirkgate Market, a historic team has been celebrated. The Leeds Caribbean Cricket Club was the first of its kind, and has been running for 70+ years!

The project was made possible by a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund which went towards these three murals, and a further two in Seacroft and at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

The new street art joins a long list of brilliant sporting murals across the city, like the mural of Rob Burrow on the side of Leeds Beckett University, Marcelo Bielsa at Hyde Park Corner and Josh Warrington under the A58 flyover.
