Did you know that children who read and listen to stories are likely to do better at school, as well as be more socially, culturally and emotionally prepared for life? Children who know 8 nursery rhymes by the time they are 4 years old will be amongst the best readers by the time they are 8 years old!

Our Story & Rhyme and Bounce & Rhyme sessions are welcoming, relaxed and social spaces for babies, toddlers and their parents/carers to experience and join in with story telling and rhymes with others.

Leeds Libraries have Story & Rhyme and Bounce & Rhyme (for pre-crawling babies) sessions across the city – you can find one happening in at least one of our libraries every week day!
