Help Save Otto
On Saturday my gorgeous dog Otto had an accident jumping off a wheelbarrow damaging a disc in his spine, I feel stupid even saying this, you are are probably asking why was he allowed to get on the wheelbarrow ? And the honest answer is, he is just very adventurous and trying to stop him jumping and leaping around is very difficult and I just never expected this to happen. Otto has damaged his spine so badly he has lost use of his back legs and has been dragging his legs as he is unable to walk.
Otto is a 4 year old Dachshund, he has the biggest zest for life & is my sons best friend, they go everywhere together and are inseparable.
I have paid £3950 so far for diagnostics & an MRI plus £400 for initial consultation & pain relief and honestly I just don’t have any money left to pay for his surgery, his surgery has been quoted at £7900 this could increase if he needs a longer stay at the vets at a cost of £150 per day or if there’s any other complications during surgery, Otto is scheduled for surgery 24th February I cannot bare the thought of losing him if I can raise the money it takes for his surgery.
all money easier will go towards his surgery costs & rehabilitation.
it’s a long recovery but the vet is confident he has an 80/90% chance of success and returning to his normal doggy life.
Setting this go fund me has been difficult accepting I cannot afford to pay for the surgery myself but it’s got to be worth a shot to save my gorgeous boys life.
