What a year it’s been for Lippy🌟🌟Two print issues (SOUL and CLASH), two SOLD OUT launch parties, loads of brilliant socials with our amazing society members, and over 60 articles published on our website!

We’re so proud of how much Lippy has grown this year — and even prouder seeing how much fun you’ve all had along the way. Huge shoutout to our wonderful subeditors and reviewers, you’ve been an absolute joy to work with. And thank you to everyone who’s written, created art, come to an event or bought a print issue. Lippy is nothing without our society members — YOU make Lippy what it is 💌

If you’re not graduating just yet, don’t worry, Lippy isn’t going anywhere! Our lovely new committee is ready to bring fresh energy and brilliant ideas to the year ahead. Stay tuned👀👀

It is so brilliant having the chance to spotlight our writers for all that they do and the work they have put into this issue. Lippy wouldn’t be what it is without you guys.

Entry is FREE to Lippy’s biggest night of the semester where you can celebrate all things Clash! Bring your mates along for a night of drinks & dancing, a panel from some of our incredible writers & creatives, fun & thought-provoking activities, and most importantly it’s the only opportunity get your hands a physical copy of The Clash Issue (… we promise this time!)

Join us for a session with Will Baldwin-Pask from The State Of The Arts next Tuesday, 25th of March, from 5.30 pm to 7 pm on campus at Helix, EC Stoner Building.

The free session will start with a short talk about their experiences in journalism and the creative industry, followed by valuable insights into overcoming writer’s block and crafting compelling articles, ending in a Q&A!

It’s official! Click the link in our bio to see which articles will be featured in the SS25 CLASH print!

Thank you to everyone who submitted, we had an incredible amount of proposals for so few article slots. Unfortunately, if your article is not on this list that does mean it will not be in the print, however, we still strongly urge you to write it for our online website as all ideas were amazing. See our pinned posts for details on how to do this.

The table assigns you a sub editor and a contact email for them. First draft of the articles are due Monday, 24th of March! It is integral that you email a first draft to your editor by then. (Please send artwork to [email protected] - if your artwork/shoot is completed please send it in as high res jpeg files)

Due to the amount of articles, there will be a max word count of 800, please try to stay within this!

If you have a plan for your artwork which is not currently listed, please email [email protected]

ARTISTS/PHOTOGRAPHERS if you want to produce artwork for an article, please choose from the list of articles and email [email protected] by Monday, the 17th March with 1) your artwork idea for the article and 2) examples of previous work

You must have a membership to be published in Lippy and we will be checking this so please grab one from the link in our bio asap!

Final drafts for all artwork and articles will be due to your editor or head of design by MONDAY 31st March!

Expect carefully curated questions on general knowledge, fashion, films, music, Leeds, and an exciting ‘CLASH’ themed round to celebrate our brand new print edition. Don’t worry if you don’t have a team formed in advance, we’ll set you up with one on the day!
