Akash Radio We are the First Panjabi Radio in the North of England playing the Best in Bhangra/Hindi Music and Gurbani. Akash Radio will be broadcasting 24/7 on 1323 AM.

Akash Radio is a community radio station in Leeds, West Yorkshire, to cater for the Panjabi speaking communities from different nationalities and people of all ages. It aims to promote, develop and raise awareness of the Panjabi language and culture through the provision of a regular community broadcasting service.

You will be pleased to know that due to popular demand in Bradford for Panjabi radio, Akash Radio has been awarded Licence by Ofcom to relay its programmes in Bradford city.      

 –CONGRATULATIONS to the community and THANKS to the Management.

 It is heard in the city centre and around Bradford, from 1 March 2023, on DAB+ Radio.

The Bradford community can now hear Akash Radio on DAB+ radios at home and in cars. The radio can also be heard on line, of course, as before.

Also, now travelling from Leeds to Bradford you can continuously hear Akash Radio.

To locate the station on DAB+ radio you just need to scan for “AKASH RADIO”

Please inform your friends or family living in Bradford about Akash Radio.
