'Sitting on the Dock of the Bay' is the fabulous work of our lovely North Art member John Williamson.🥰
JOHN SAYS 'Like the subject of this painting, my favourite pastimes are watching boats and fishing. This young man had been fishing at Eyemouth harbour until he was distracted by the fishing boats as they left. He put down his rods and finally he sat down to watch the last one leave. I like to think that in his head he was onboard travelling out to sea to find adventure. It was cold day and he sat as still as a statue until the last one disappeared' 🐠🐡🐟🎣

'No Vacancies' is an Ink drawing on paper, and comes from his series ‘Portals’.
ABOUT ROY: Roy is a visual artist from Manchester who graduated in Fine Art at Newcastle in the 1970’s before teaching art and working as a freelance illustrator in Leeds and London. he has recently returned to Leeds and resumed his art practice.
'Waterlilies 1' comes from our talented North Art member Sue Toft, It was painted in Yorkshire, with acrylic on board and inspired by a recent visit to an incredibly beautiful garden.
ABOUT SARAH: 'I draw most of my inspiration from my garden, family outings and the beautiful surrounding Yorkshire landscape. I trained at Loughborough University and achieved First-Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art specialising in painting and I still predominantly work in oil or acrylic paint on paper or canvas'
