I see you, sitting at your desk in your 9-5 reading this quote thinking “that’s all I ever want for myself”. You know why I see you? Because only a month ago that was me. Seeing all the inspirational quotes, watching other people live the life of freedom that I wanted for myself too.

But because I finally decided that I was worth so much more than my 9-5, I invested in my knowledge to give me the tools to create the life that I deserved.

🎓 I invested in a digital course that was to change the trajectory of everything I knew about making a living using social media. I thought you had to be a big shot influencer, but that just isn’t the case - people do this starting from 0.

I took my time learning the modules, making sure I was digesting the information but not overloading myself whilst still balancing my 9-5 and life outside of that. After a month, I had learned:

✅Digital Marketing
✅Email Marketing
✅Sales Funnels
✅Digital Product Creation
✅How to connect to your audience
✅Brand Building
✅Content Creation
✅Social Media Growth

Now I work for myself as a freelance Social Media Manager, using these skills that took me a month to learn - this was at my own pace. I’m telling you this because people see MRR courses just as a resale strategy, but I used this course to create a business and expand my knowledge so I had longevity.

When it comes to resistance, I had it TEN FOLD. About all sorts of things but especially my career, I have always undersold myself and when a time came to make a leap of faith (that I was definitely capable of), I’d back out.

🫷🏼Resisting for some reason, coming up with excuses as to why I couldn’t do something. I realised how much I was holding myself back so I decided to start journaling to dig deeper into my emotions, find out where the resistance was coming from and be honest with myself.

Once I had the answer, it all changed for me. I intentionally put myself into situations to force growth until one day, the next opportunity for a leap of faith came - by then I was confident enough within myself to say yes.

Happy Sunday my lovelies ❤️

I used to hate when Sunday evening came around, the anxiety of going back to my 9-5 reality after the weekend used to hit me so HARD. I’d lived freely for 2 days, even working on my own little business - living exactly how I wanted my reality to look.

🫶🏼 I’m so grateful that I am genuinely living my reality now. No more Sunday blues, I’m excited for Monday to come around because I can connect with my clients and work on my own terms.

Some of these quotes are what I have had saved myself for a long time, they helped me so much that I wanted to share them with anyone feeling anxious about work tomorrow. Trust me when I say - I get it completely but please remember that this isn’t your destination and it just part of your growth journey.

If you think earning a living through social media means you have to have a huge following, an already existing audience, a ton of experience and it’s simply impossible for “someone like you” to start?

One thing I will never cry about is having a lot on my plate because that is exactly what I asked for, I love to be busy (I'm a self-confessed workaholic) and being able to build my business and work on my own terms is something I will forever be grateful for, this keeps me hungry for more.

Since investing in digital products so many other doors have opened for me, not just through the art of selling but by what value and knowledge has been brought to me, the people that I have met in the digital marketing niche. I have learnt so much and been so inspired by those around me, I have been able to leverage the skills I have learned to create a life that works for me.
