🌟 Welcome to the TLA Family, Maddie! 🌟
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented Maddie to our teaching faculty at TLA!
Maddie brings with her a wealth of professional experience, international performance credits, and a passion for dance that is truly inspiring. From performing with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and Balletto di Siena in Italy, to working with Phoenix Dance Theatre and taking to the stage at Sadler’s Wells East, Maddie has trained and performed at the highest level across the UK and Europe.
She holds both a First-Class Honours Degree and a Master’s in Contemporary Dance Performance from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and has worked closely with pioneering artists like Sandrine Monin and Unbound Dance Theatre, creating accessible, meaningful performance work for all.
✨ From September, Maddie will be leading our Ballet Department, bringing her classical expertise and dynamic energy to the studio. She’ll also be teaching Jazz and Lyrical for our Silver, Blue and Senior Musical Theatre students, helping them build strength, versatility, and artistry in their training. ✨
Maddie’s commitment to nurturing young dancers, paired with her depth of industry knowledge, makes her a powerful role model and a brilliant addition to the TLA team. We’re confident that our students and their families will be inspired by her creativity, warmth, and professionalism.

🩸 “Full of scorpions is my mind…” 🩸
We wanted this piece to feel like eavesdropping on the walls of Macbeth’s crumbling castle — catching fragments of thought, fractured memories, and whispered guilt as Macbeth and Lady M spiral into madness. This wasn’t just a performance; it was an invitation into a disturbed mind.
Our graduating actors took this direction well of two of Shakespeare’s most chilling monologues as we wove them into a single psychological thread — a shared unraveling. With powerful physical storytelling and emotionally raw delivery, they blurred the line between internal monologue and external reality.
We used distortion and shifting focus in the filming to mirror the characters’ mental disintegration. The audience is never quite grounded — just like Macbeth and Lady M, you’re left grasping for clarity in a world warped by ambition, blood, and consequence.
This is Shakespeare, yes — but stripped bare and reimagined through the lens of modern mental chaos.

🎭 A Fond Farewell to a True TLA Star 🎭
Last Saturday, we celebrated a milestone moment at TLA as we said a heartfelt farewell to one of our longest-standing students, Maddie, on her final day with us.
After 12 wonderful years—and one extra by choice!—Maddie’s journey with us has come full circle. From a bright-eyed little girl with a spark for performance to a confident young artist with a powerful voice and a remarkable stage presence, Maddie’s growth embodies everything we believe in at TLA: nurture, challenge, artistry, and community.
Her talent speaks for itself, but it’s her quiet determination, warmth, and generosity of spirit that have left a lasting mark on our students, teachers, and families alike. Maddie is not just part of our history—she’s part of our DNA.
To Maddie’s family, thank you for your trust and support over the years. And to Maddie—your next chapter in music and performance is only just beginning, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.

We are excited to announce our Theatre-Led Arts workshop dates for 18th, 19th, and 20th August 2025 at CALSA, Collingham! 🎉
📅 Workshop Schedule:
Day 1 (18th August): Drama 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Day 2 (19th August): ACRO & Contemporary 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Day 3 (20th August): ACRO & Contemporary 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
***Please note that Tinies and Juniors will have a morning session on Monday 18th from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM***
For those of you who filled out the forms, thank you! 😊 We’ve created workshops based on your interest. You will be notified of which day your child will participate in ACRO and Contemporary by half term, based on age and ability.

We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news with our students, parents, and wider community — we’ve just smashed our own records in the recent LAMDA Grade 8 (GOLD) examinations! 🏆
Five of our brilliant students took on the challenge of the highest-level exam and achieved outstanding results, with scores of 85, 97, and an unbelievable 98! 🙌
✨This is not only a testament to the sheer talent and hard work of our students, but also to the passion, commitment, and expertise of our amazing LAMDA teachers. These lessons are a true collaboration between teacher and student — working together on technique, character interpretation, text analysis, and, most importantly, learning how to tell the truth through storytelling.
🎭LAMDA at this level is a technically demanding craft, and time and time again, our students raise the bar beyond all expectations.
In other exciting news — we also celebrated another round of Distinctions and the Highest Merit across the board. The standard just keeps getting higher, and we could not be prouder of every single one of our performers.

TLA was established in 2008 and has gone from strength to strength. Keeping performance real, we strive to deliver industry leading training to all of our students and offer them great opportunities along the way!
On the 8th April 2018, TLA performed at Her Majesty's Theatre on the West End in London! 23 Performers, 5 members of staff and lots of family and friends traveled down to London to take part in a variety performance. TLA students were outstanding and everyone who took part had a great time!
Whether they are coming to train to further enhance their careers, or just to make friends and have a great time, there is something for everyone at TLA.
With the introduction of our new baby class - Tiny Little Actors - we cater for children aged between 2 and 22!
Even Tiny Little Actors (TLA's) can be superstars - so why not come along to our session, especially for little ones, and sing, dance, act and have fun! *All TLA's but be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout these sessions.
For students aged 4+ We offer Drama and Musical Theatre (Dance and Singing) Usually taken together, but not essential, these hour long sessions happen on a Saturday throughout the day.
TLA also offer LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) lessons. With an amazing 100% pass rate, our students benefit from 1 to 1 tuition with a LAMDA qualified teacher.
Private lessons are also available in Dance and Singing with students enjoying mastering their chosen technique in these sessions.
