This week Raven Travel passed a little milestone that genuinely means the world to me… over £50,000 worth of holidays booked in just the last 4 months! ✈️🌍💙

When I started Raven Travel, it was with a long-term dream of building something of my own around something I genuinely love — travel. To see that dream starting to become a reality is quite difficult to put into words.

But none of this happens without you.
To every single person who has trusted me with their holiday, asked me for a quote, recommended me to friends or family, shared one of my posts or simply supported Raven Travel along the way — thank you so much.

Booking a holiday is a big deal. It's your money, your time away and the memories you're looking forward to making, so the fact that people are putting that trust in me means more than you probably realise.

£50,000 in four months… and hopefully this is only the beginning. ❤️

On 6th September 2026, you can be part of something very special. 💜

The Rotary Club of Leeds is bringing people together at Temple Newsam House for its charity walk, with an incredible goal of raising £40,000 for Alzheimer’s Research.

And it’s not too late to sign up and take part. Rotary Club of Leeds

This is a cause that’s very close to my heart, so when Raven Travel was asked if we could help support the day, I was more than happy to do what I could.

We’ll be there capturing the start of the walk from a completely different perspective — filming from above with our drone to showcase the turnout, the atmosphere and everyone coming together for such an important cause. Hopefully, the footage can also help the Rotary Club raise even more awareness for the brilliant work they do and their future events.

Whether you walk, donate, share the event or simply help spread the word, you can play a part in helping them reach that £40,000 target.

🌴🇩🇴 BÁVARO BEACH, PUNTA CANA – FROM ABOVE! 🚁☀️

I couldn't come all the way to Punta Cana and leave the drone in its case! 😎

So, starting from the Meliá Punta Cana Beach Resort, I sent it up for a flight along the stunning Bávaro Beach – and what a coastline this is! 🌊🌴

White sand, turquoise Caribbean water, palm trees and resorts stretching along the coast… Punta Cana looks pretty impressive from ground level, but seeing it from the air is something else.

And this is one of the things I love about Raven Travel. I'm not just looking at hotel descriptions and pictures on a screen – when I get the opportunity, I actually visit the destinations and resorts I'm selling.

🇩🇴🌴 COME AND TAKE A LOOK AROUND MELIÁ PUNTA CANA BEACH FROM THE AIR! 🚁

I've spent the last couple of weeks here in Punta Cana, so rather than just showing you the usual hotel photos, I thought I'd send the drone up and give you a proper look around! 😎

This is the adults-only Meliá Punta Cana Beach Resort, and the video takes you right across the resort — from the lobby end, through the incredible tropical gardens and accommodation areas, towards The Level, Tropical Palms, the main pool and beachfront.

I've also included a quick look at Fun Republic, with its zip lines, crazy golf and outdoor activities, plus some of the other residents we've met along the way... 🦎🦚🦆

The iguanas, peacocks and ducks seem to have pretty much taken ownership of the place!

I've also included my own experience of the sargassum situation here in early August, something I know quite a few people have been asking about.

One of the things I love about doing Raven Travel is being able to actually visit destinations like this myself. It means when somebody asks me what a resort is really like, I can sometimes answer from experience rather than simply reading what's in a brochure.

So grab a drink, turn the sound up and come for a 4½-minute flight around Meliá Punta Cana Beach. 🇩🇴🌴

A truly magical (and slightly sunburned! 😂☀️) day out yesterday to Saona Island 🇩🇴🌴

Two dives along the way 🤿, followed by a few hours in what can only be described as a little piece of tropical paradise. 🏝️🌊

For those of you who followed my page after we got chatting on the boat – I hope you enjoy the video! The original clips are just far too big to send over individually, so the easiest way of sharing them all with you was to put everything together into this YouTube video.

Well... after a couple of days here in the Dominican Republic, ive come to the conclusion that ive actually discovered a new indigenous species... 😂

The Cucarella Duck! 🦆🇩🇴

The only slight problem is... ive still not actually seen it! I just keep hearing this bird hidden away in the trees, and every time it sounds like it's shouting "Cucarella... Cucarella...". So, naturally, that's what ive named it.

Based on absolutely zero scientific evidence whatsoever, this is what i reckon it looks like... complete with a hairstyle that would make any footballer jealous! 🤣

Now then... if anyone actually knows what this mystery bird is, put me out of my misery. Until then, it'll always be the Cucarella Duck 😂🌴

well - we're here and made it ok!

2 weeks off relaxation - and with this being a 'wellness' resort too, maybe the odd 'scared pigeon', or 'dancing bear' - or whatever other yoga positions they can get me in to!
