Social media isn’t just where we scroll for fun anymore…

it’s where we search 🔍📱

Someone mentions a certain product or a campervan model to me?
I’m not heading to Google first.

I’m straight on to TikTok and Instagram! 📱Because I want to see it, hear it and watch how people are actually using it. Not a glossy stock image or spec sheet from 2018 🤦🏻‍♀️

Real videos. Real people. Real opinions.

And that’s exactly why a business needs to show up consistently on socials.
Because if your ideal customer is searching for what you offer and you’re nowhere to be found, they’ll find someone who is 😫

Social media isn’t just for entertainment.
It’s a search engine. A trust builder. And a decision maker.

Especially in industries like vanlife, where people want to feel the lifestyle before they commit 🚐

So next time someone asks “Why bother posting on TikTok or Instagram?”

Just remember...that’s where people are already looking.

Providing good Customer Service is not a priority......

it’s the whole game!!

Today I got gifted not one, but two bottles of wine from happy clients. No bribes, no complaints...just genuine appreciation.
(Although if this becomes a trend, I’m not mad about it 😉)

The truth is great customer service isn’t just about ticking boxes or sending polite emails. It’s about actually caring!

No speaking jargon or faffing about. Just make sure you treat every client like they actually matter (because they do!)

It seems that customer service isn’t what it used to be (cue the comment: ‘Well back in my day...’)
But when you look after your clients, treat them how you would want to be treated yourself, they notice!

Sometimes they leave a nice review which means the world to any business. But sometimes…they also turn up with vino 🍷🙌

Instagram is forever changing!!!

But that’s a good thing 👍🏼 It means it’s keeping up with what the audience want to see 👀

But for a small business this is a nightmare 🤯

If your business is posting on Instagram, then not checking your insights is just criminal 🦹🏻‍♀️

You can build a picture to understand who and what your audience likes to see from you 💚

Then all you have to do, is create more of what they want to see 👍🏼

I promise Instagram isn't out to get you!

They want people to stay on the platform for as long as possible so they can make money by showing ads 🤷🏻‍♀️

Your content needs to stop the scroll 📱Then you want your audience to engage with your post.

For every post, think about what will interest your audience and then give them what they want 👍🏼

Consistency….BUT that doesn’t mean constantly!

I see so many business owners, post every day, even multiple times a day but then the following week, nothing! Nada!

It's so annoying when you've spent time creating the perfect post and then nothing……but tumbleweed!

As a business owner, you want people to interact with your post.
You want them to comment and chat with you and other followers.
Or even save your post to come back and consume later.

But here's the question... Do you interact and engage with other profiles?

The clue is in the name..SOCIAL! We need to put the Social back into Social Media.

You need to be putting the work in, set time aside and engage with your followers and peers.

Once you start to do this, you will find that they will start to engage with you on your posts too.

Engagement = Community = Trust = Sales

Whack a photo on, quickly write a caption and boom 💥 Post uploaded to social media!!

The real story is, I have just sat down to write the captions (yes just the captions!) for this week's posts and 2 hours later, still sat here.

Once that's done and dusted, it's time to think about what graphic or video will be uploaded.

But even before tackling the above, I researched what my peers were talking about, what is going on in different industries and also what I think will be beneficial to my audience.

This is why you need to set aside time to research, think, create & design each post you are going to post!

If you're thinking 'Yeah! Okay Leah! Like i've got time for that!'

Who else has set their goals for the coming year??

And already feeling overwhelmed and wondering how to reach them.

Just break them down into smaller chunks. For each goal, keep saying to yourself 'More specific!'

I want better sleep - More specific!
Go to bed earlier - More specific!
Learn to relax before going to bed - More specific!
Stop using devices 2 hours before bed

By setting smaller habits, you can reduce the overwhelm and be in a better position to smash that goal 💥
