I’ve been thinking about these GTA VI leaks, and honestly, I feel really sorry for the developers.

I know what it’s like to be excited about GTA and want to see everything, but I also know from the 2022 leaks how quickly this stuff can spread and cause problems.

Whatever people think about Rockstar there are thousands of developers who have spent years putting their time, talent and passion into this game. Seeing unfinished work leaked and passed around must be absolutely gutting.

I’m not watching the leaks. I want to experience GTA VI the way Rockstar intended us to.

The Leakers arguments about “doing it for the community” don’t convince me either. It’s blackmail, there are better ways to make your point without ruining someone else’s work. I really do hope the person or people involved in this get caught.

So from me …. I’m supporting the developers. I won’t share the leaks, and I won’t be watching them.

Let the devs have their moment when GTA VI is officially revealed…..Besides that people are getting the wrong idea about the game watching a two year old build, am waiting for the real deal thanks .

Rockstar currently appears to be in damage control mode, with the company failing to post its usual weekly GTA Online Newswire.

The timing is certainly interesting. Rockstar may be reluctant to make any public statement regarding the leaked GTA 6 footage until they’ve identified and shut down the source, allowing them to assess exactly how much information has been compromised and how the leaker gained access to the material.

And the leaker doesn’t appear to be slowing down. So far, five clips and the full map have been released, while the individual has also claimed to access to a playable build.

That leaves Rockstar with an interesting choice , address the situation now, or simply remain silent.

With the extended gameplay look reportedly only a week away, Rockstar may decide that saying nothing is the better strategy. Once the official footage drops, the attention surrounding these leaks could quickly disappear.

For now, though, the silence is certainly deafening.
