When the Garbo Came Down

Nine nights She danced within us,
light swirling in prayer and song.

In the centre of the hall stands the garbo and a beautifully decorated shrine with pictures of the goddesses being worshipped, adorned with fresh flowers and vibrant chundris. Around it are placed the different prasad and aarti ni sani, setting the sacred atmosphere before the dancing begins.

For the last two years, I’ve had the incredible honour of being part of the team behind Navarti Festival a celebration of art, culture, music, and community that has truly become something special.
