💿 CDLC018 – D-TOX | FINAL WEEK OF PRE-ORDER

It's been just over a week since the latest Compound Dubz release landed, and we're now entering the final week of the pre-order for the physical edition.

The Clear Limited Edition sold out almost immediately, a huge thank you to everyone who supported the release. ❤️

We now have just 9 Black 10" Lathe Cut copies remaining.

Each record is individually mastered and cut in-house on our VR T560 lathes, continuing our focus on producing small-run, handcrafted vinyl releases for artists, DJs and collectors.
Musically, D-Tox – CDLC018 delivers two heavyweight Amen rollers with classic pitched edits, sound clash flavours and deep rolling basslines, drawing clear inspiration from the unmistakable sound of 1995 jungle.

The digital release will remain available, but once the physical pre-order closes, there will be no more copies of the 10" available.

Today reminded me why I became a mastering engineer.

People often ask...

"What gear do you use?"

The truth is...
That's usually the least interesting part of mastering.

Today I finished mastering an album that reminded me of something I'd forgotten.

We don't master songs.
We master stories.

Every EQ move...
Every compressor adjustment...
Every decision is there for one reason.

Not to impress another engineer.
Not to chase a loudness target.
But to ask one question...

Does this make me feel more connected to the music?

If the answer is no...
We don't do it.
