Seeing as I've (fibally) acquired a few more over the last year, I figured it's time I should show off my very modest collection.
1. SE2000 condenser. Gets a beautiful crisp, full tone out of vocals and captures a great sound as a room mic.
2. AKG D3800M hypercardioid dynamic mic. My favourite for vocals when I rehearse, a really full and dynamic sound. Robust, versatile, and rare! Thanks to Ian from for this gift!
3. Last year I got my hands on 3 AKG P4s, mainly for use on drums. Fantastic rejection of unwanted sounds, and a lovely 40Hz frequency response makes it an efficient Tom mic.
4. Two AKG C1000s, a generous birthday gift from that I've used live a few times, and since getting them in the studio once on a guitar amp (and it sounds LUSH! Capturing all the rumble, brightness AND the woolly mids perfectly)
5. 3 Shure SM57s (all real!), good ol' reliable mics useful for guitar amps, acoustic instruments, drums, even vocals when it calls for it!
6. Absolutely great microphones for a budget, the Behringer C-2s are brilliant as overheads, ambient mics, or even instruments and amps. An all rounder condenser mic.
7. Since the start of my ventures I've used Samson C02s as overheads and the QKick as my main kick mic. Again, for bargain microphones they capture a great sound! (Even for Samson, uuurgh)
8. Another large diaphragm condenser, the T Bone SC-450 used to be my go-to for vocals, but since the SE2000 I haven't used it (the cradle is also busted), but it'll find a use in time! Yet another great bargain mic that you can do a lot with
9. 3 Tourtech dynamic microphones. Freebies gifted to me, I don't usually use them as they're not all great, but if I needed a thin, trashy sounding snare of vocals, you know I'll use these (even rubbish equipment has purpose with a bit of creativity!)

I'll try post more stuff more often, and will soon be putting out a few posts about the bands I've recently worked with, so keep eyes peeled for new music! And if you'd like to hear what these mics can do, book a session and find out!
