Underdog Stories Ep 13: Leicester City 2016.
(Season 1 wrapped up)

5000–1 odds.

Not to win the Champions League.
Not to win the World Cup.

To win the Premier League.

A year earlier, Leicester City were fighting relegation. Most people expected them to be battling for survival again. Nobody expected them to be champions. Nobody.

And yet somehow, a team built on bargains, belief, and pure heart stood above football’s richest giants.

Jamie Vardy was breaking records.
Riyad Mahrez was dancing past defenders.
N’Golo Kanté seemed to be covering every blade of grass in England.

Week after week, people waited for the fairy tale to end.
Week after week, Leicester refused.

Until the impossible became reality.

Because Leicester City 2015–16 wasn’t just an underdog story.
It was football’s greatest rebellion against probability itself.

A reminder that sometimes dreams don’t care about budgets, reputation, or logic.
Sometimes, they win the league.

Top 30 Greatest peaks Ep 16: Karim Benzema 15/30.

For years, he was the perfect lieutenant.
The man who sacrificed his numbers so another king could shine.

And then, when Cristiano Ronaldo left, Karim Benzema slowly began to reveal what he had been hiding all along.

But 2021–22 was different.
That wasn’t Benzema stepping up.
That was Benzema unleashed.

Goals in every big game.
Hat-tricks against PSG and Chelsea.
A Champions League campaign that felt like destiny itself.

When Real Madrid needed a miracle, Benzema delivered one.
When they needed a leader, he became one.
When they needed a Ballon d’Or winner, he played like the best footballer on the planet.

La Liga.
Champions League.
Ballon d’Or.

He won everything.

Because 2021–22 wasn’t just the season Karim Benzema became the main man.
It was the season the football world finally realized he had always been capable of it.

Underdog Stories Ep 12: Greece 2004
If Hollywood wrote the script for Euro 2004, people would call it unrealistic.

Before that tournament, Greece had appeared in only two major international competitions in their entire history.
They had never won a single match.
Not one.

And then they arrived in Portugal and decided to conquer Europe.

They beat the hosts in the opening game.
They eliminated the defending champions, France.
They knocked out the Czech Republic.
And then they beat Portugal again in the final, in front of an entire nation waiting to celebrate.

No superstars.
No Ballon d’Or winners.
No footballing dynasty.

Just belief, discipline, and a group of men who refused to accept the script everyone had written for them.

That is why Greece 2004 isn’t just an underdog story.
It might be the single most outrageous achievement international football has ever seen.
