The uncomfortable truth?
Most people don’t avoid new opportunities because they can’t do them.
They avoid them because being a beginner bruises the ego a bit.

Starting something new can feel awkward. Slow. Cringe, even.
But that discomfort is usually where the good stuff lives.

Meanwhile it’s far easier to stay curled up in the glow of “just one more episode” while another year quietly sprints past in socks 🫠

Nothing wrong with rest or switching off. Trust me, this is very important too.
But if you’ve got dreams you keep talking yourself out of… maybe it’s not a time problem. Maybe it’s a comfort problem.

Your future probably doesn’t live on episode 6. 👀

When I decided to quit my retail management job, I knew I didn’t want another job.
Not in the traditional sense anyway.

It wasn’t about being lazy or not wanting to work.
It was about getting to an age where I wasn’t willing to keep settling for a job that left me feeling strung out, spread too thin, mentally overwhelmed and physically exhausted.

We’re living in a completely different world now.
A world where millions of people are building income online, on their own terms. Where your effort directly impacts your results, instead of your future being decided by someone several levels above you who’s never even seen you work.

That shift changed everything for me.

What is it they say - in the event of an emergency, fit your own mask before helping others?!

Let this be your sign to take care of yourself today, however that looks to you.

Personally, I’m going to be switching off and spending time with my nearest and dearest as we celebrate together the passing of 50 and 21 years ☺️

Feeling grateful that I am looking after myself in the best way my possible, building a life I can be proud of.

The life long dilemma of time or money.

Constantly feeling like it has to be a deal between one or the other, never both. Both would be greedy, right? We should be grateful that we have a job that earns us money so we can pay our bills and afford small luxuries.

But what is the price we pay for working as many hours as we can, to justify the salary that rewards us with the lifestyle we desire (if we’re lucky!)

It was what my job was taking me away from that made me realise that it wasn’t worth it.

It was the feeling that all my time and energy was going into a job that left no time for anyone or anything else.

That is what got me looking for another way.

Not another job, but something that I could build of my own that gives me both time and money.
