Another Successful Professional Installation — This Time in a Historic Episcopal Church
We are proud to share details of our latest project: a complete, modern sound-system installation in a remarkable and historically significant Episcopal church. The original chapel on this site was built on May 25th, 1830, and the current, much larger church - designed by Richard Norman Shaw - was constructed in stages and finally consecrated on Easter Tuesday, April 7th, 1874. Working within such an iconic and acoustically challenging heritage building required precision, expertise, and a deep respect for its architectural character.
PromediaIT delivered a full, end-to-end audio upgrade tailored to the unique acoustics of the sanctuary.
The solution features:
12 JBL loudspeakers equipped with Constant Beamwidth Technology (CBT), ensuring consistent coverage and exceptional speech intelligibility throughout the space.
A professional DSP-enabled amplifier with ample power headroom, allowing for future expansion of the system without compromising performance.
5 new Sennheiser EW-D wireless microphones, ensuring reliability, clarity, and flexibility for worship services and events.
Integration with a Yamaha DM3 compact digital mixer, providing precise control and seamless operation for the church’s technical team.
A new streaming computer, significantly improving the quality and stability of live broadcasts, including the church's YouTube streaming workflow.
This installation not only elevates the in-church audio experience but also enhances the clarity and professionalism of online services for the wider community.
Another successful project completed - blending modern audio engineering with historical architecture to support clear communication, beautiful music, and meaningful worship.
