Being a mom is the best thing ever... and also a wild, messy ride where you sometimes forget your own name. Here’s how I’m trying to stay me while keeping small humans alive:

1. Schedule "Me Time" Like It's a Doctor’s Appointment
Lock that door, hide in the bathroom, fake a Zoom call—whatever works. Protect your peace like your last piece of chocolate.

2. Remember Who You Were Before the Diaper Era
Once upon a time, you had hobbies, sleep, and adult conversations. Reconnect with her—she was fun, and she wore real pants.

3. Accept Help (Even If It’s From Paw Patrol)
Let Grandma babysit. Let your partner do bedtime. Let Bluey parent for 22 minutes. It counts.

4. Do Something That Has Nothing to Do With Wipes
Sign up for a class, write a blog, do yoga, drink coffee while it’s still hot. Be a person with interests beyond snack distribution.

5. Ditch the Guilt & Embrace the Chaos
Balance is a myth—some days you rock it, some days you're in the pantry with Oreos and regrets. It's fine. You’re fine. (Mostly.)

This holiday has been all about sunshine, swimming, enjoying every moment and the sweetest kind of bonding between us. Watching my sister and daughter laugh in the pool, share snacks, and truly enjoy each other’s company has been a beautiful reminder of what matters most — family, fun, and simple joys. These are the memories we’ll carry long after the holiday ends.
While I take time to bond with my son, I'm glad my daughter is not feeling alone or left out from her activities. Love you ❤️❤️💝💖
