Little indoor adventure today 🏕️

Lily and I are testing out our new tent in the living room… currently rating it very highly for comfort and snack accessibility 😂

Lazy jammie day, cartoons on, blankets, books, not rushing anything. Feels like a good way to reset before I get back into filming and YouTube bits tomorrow 😄

I handed in my dissertation last week and did my presentation yesterday… so that’s it, I’m officially DONE 😮

It still feels a bit weird after it taking up so much of my time and headspace for so long 😂

Tonight has been a much nicer pace, sat outside by the fire painting rocks with my best friends, chatting rubbish and just switching my brain off for a bit. Exactly what I needed after the past few weeks.

Such a wholesome way to end it all 🖤

Quick one before bed:
What’s something small that made you smile today? 💛

Mine was actually something really nice…

I met someone at the spring fayre this weekend and we got chatting about books. She added me on Facebook and reached out today, and after a quick (standard 😂) profile scroll I feel like we’ve got quite a lot in common.

It’s funny how you meet people at different stages of life. Just as I’m leaning more into my little whimsical era, I seem to be meeting people on a similar wavelength.

Always nice when that happens ✨

I've just seen this...

Lately my hands have been so sore, especially with how much I’ve been on my laptop working on my dissertation. Add in all the social media stuff I do on my phone (editing videos, writing posts, replying to comments) and it’s basically constant.

I always thought it was just repetitive strain injury… but it’s never just one hand, and it comes and goes in a way that never quite made sense. Seeing this made me realise it’s probably just another fibro thing.

It’s frustrating because a lot of the things I love doing are with my hands: sewing, colouring, playing games etc, and sometimes it makes those things really difficult, if not impossible. I’ve noticed I’ve been reaching for my Kindle more lately too, because even holding a book open can feel like too much on my wrists.

Just one of those little reminders that fibro isn’t always visible, but it shows up in ways that affect your day-to-day more than people realise 💛

If you have fibro, do you get this too?

A little reminder / reintroduction for anyone new here 😄

My whole content creation journey actually started with free cleans for people in my community, and it’s something I still do to this day.

I run Fife Free Cleaning, and I share these cleans over on my YouTube channel 'At Home With Steph' (usually once a month now).

There was a time where I was doing this with my best friend, cleaning a new home every single week and posting weekly on our Fife Free Cleaning You Tube channel… but life looks a little different now. I’m now doing this completely solo, I’m a mum of 4, in my final year of uni, and I live with fibromyalgia, so I’ve had to learn to slow down and really listen to my body.

Now our original channel isn't active and I typically only help one or two people a month, but… that still means 12–24 homes a year. And when I say these cleans can be life changing, I truly mean it 🥰

This isn’t the main focus of my content anymore, most of what I share now is my own life, routines, struggles, and everything in between, but this work is still such a big part of who I am.

I’ve seen a few people recently questioning if Fife Free Cleaning is still a thing… and I just want to say clearly:

It absolutely is.

It might look different now, it might be quieter, but it’s still here.

Fife Free Cleaning was something Danielle and I built together, and right now it’s something I’m continuing on my own, doing what I can, when I can.

We said right from the beginning "Progress not Perfection".

And I’m really proud to be carrying it forward ❤️
