🕰️Almost a month since the release of Across a Rural Skyline: The Art of Andrea Kowch

🎨 Termed by some as the evocation of the surreal, by others as figurations of magical realism, one thing is for certain- Kowch’s distinctive creations are singular in their interrogation of the mysterious spheres of femininity and the pastoral. Viewers are compelled toward a world that explores the contradictions between human experience and the natural world- with her inscrutable characters often frozen in mid-movement, leaving only fragments of implication at what lies outside the page.

📚 Autumn 2025 Catalogue Announcement 📚

The launch of our Autumn catalogue is always timed to coincide with the London Book Fair, and this year we are very pleased to announce the acquisition of thirty-nine new titles for Autumn 2025 from our own Unicorn imprint and those of Unicorn Sales and Distribution’s client publishers.

Unicorn’s brief is the visual arts and cultural history, and nothing illustrates our speciality better than this season’s lead titles: Bliss and Dance, which celebrates the work of Sir Arthur Bliss, Being Victorian by Jamie Camplin, Delightful, Enchanting by contemporary artist Annabel Fairfax, our fourth book together with the art historian Caroline Chapman Painted Mysteries, and the Andrew Lambirth edited autobiography of the great Christopher Miles, Carrying the Can.

Unicorn’s strong association with Chinese culture continues with Chen Yujun and Unity in Motion. Likewise, our long-standing association with Churchilliana continues with our second book by the renowned
academic Gary L. Stiles A Prelude to Immortality. Of current political interest we are offering Energy is Life by Zion Lights and The End of the Peer Show by Ian Strathcarron.

We do hope you enjoy buying and reading our books as much as we have enjoyed publishing and marketing them.
