So, because he apparently likes pain a bit too much, Rupert has signed himself up to do a quite simply rather crazy challenge for Movember 2025! 😎

He is running 150km across the month and doing a daily circuit of 6 exercises, with 60 reps per excersise - that's like 360 reps a day 😂

So folks, here it is, YELLOWBELLY RECORDS: A MODERN DAY ALBION - the official launch event for Rupert's debut poetry anthology!

This will be a phenomenal night of spoken word merriment, celebrating this very special release, but also celebrating spoken word in all its gorgeous glory.

We welcome you to join us, and look forward to what is sure to be a marvellous night :D

So, a little announcement to make for our Creative Director, Rupert!

Across 2025, he has been working on a special something, his debut poetry anthology! And after much refining, much annoyance, and much worry that Amazon would blacklist him for one reason or another, we can finally say that IT IS PUBLISHED!

Though Rupert has opted to mainly sell in person, so he can hand number and sign these special first edition copies, you can technically buy one now off of Amazon - how freaking cool is that!

We think he is planning a cheeky launch for this sometime too, and will likely be working closely with our friends at The Pessimist Gin & Wine Bar to arrange a very special, one off, LET THE IMP OUT event :)

But in the meantime, should you fancy nabbing yourself a copy of this very special release, drop us a message, or just shout lots at Rupert direct 🤣

Hi Folks, just a quick announcement regarding next month's LET THE IMP OUT...

As Rupert is currently 4500 miles away, we have made a decision to not have an October event - instead, we will be back TWICE as big and TWICE as loud in November - and we have a HUGE announcement to make in the lead up to this event!

We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but do hope you all appreciate us not running the night with Rupert being away, and that you will all be eagerly looking forwards to Novembers event!

Yellowbelly Records Creative Director Rupert is currently on his travels, and recently visited this absolute gem of a shop in Cocoa Village, Florida.

Put Me On Record is a cool little record shop in a cool little town, that is bursting with some truly awesome artsy outlets! Now, ahead of his travels, Rupert looked up some of the local bands in the area, and stumbled across garage rock band Dunies, who it just so happens had released their newest EP, Take Off And Die, a few months ago - released somewhat in partnership with the record shop (they were the awesome folks who put it to record). So he did what any sane person would do, and messaged ahead, from England, to ask whether the shop had any copies still in stock, AND THEY DID - the rest is history!

Or is it...?

In talking to Jim at the shop, some good ol' chinwagging was done, and we are delighted to say that some cross Atlantic friends were made! Rupert did request that ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE must now listen to and follow Dunies, and Put Me On Record, and show them a bit of love from across the pond! 🛫

And, who knows, in the distant future where pipedreams and ridiculous thoughts become reality, we might see Yellowbelly Records fly across the pond, and vice versa 😅

So, the BalaClava2420 boys have been BUSY BEES INDEED! 😳

Their new single, How Do You Like Me Now, is out NOW, so you can STREAM it to your heart's content! 🥳

They are also HEADLINING at The Loft in Grimsby at next Saturday's Not That Kind event, alongside Suburban Toys, Tanks Turning, and good friends of ours Sacred Starfish - we are very much looking forward to being there, and recommended you be there too! 😄
