PAYING IT FORWARD
Hey everyone — quick heads up about something new we’re trying 1880 Video Productions CIC / VAR Rundown Website
A lot of the content we share on social media and on our website is shared with us voluntarily. It comes from people across the world of sport who allow us to use their images, insights, clips, and videos, all of which make what we do possible. We’ve been thinking about how to say thanks in a way that actually means something.
So from now on, every time we use someone’s contribution — whether it’s a clip, a stat, an image, a written article — we'll not only ensure that you are credited for your input as usual, but we will also make a small donation to a local charity to benefit the community. Nothing loud, nothing showy. Just a simple way to pass some good on because of the good others bring to our work.
If you already support us, we’ll now reward all of your ongoing contributions in this way. And if reading this inspires you to get involved, send us a direct message or e-mail us at [email protected]
It’s our way of keeping the game moving forward, on and off the pitch.
No big campaign, no fuss — just a little kindness every time great content comes our way.
Thanks for your support

1880 Video Community Interest Company - Catching the vision
(Mission Statement)
Provision of positive promotion and awareness for small charities, charitable individuals, sports clubs and organisations in today’s digitally driven world with a particular emphasis on promoting well being through sport
To inspire self confidence, positivity and hope within our clients and their consumers
To provide up and coming media students and other individuals interested in the genre with the ability to develop their talents through employment in both voluntary and paid capacities
Serving the community in this capacity is what drives us with any profits made by the company remaining in the company for re-investment in expanding our services or for distribution to charities
Our main aim is to help small charities, charitable individuals and organisations & sports clubs to get their name more into the public eye to improve awareness of the amazing work they do within the community which in turn can also bring numerous other benefits as well.
Our prices are fair, reasonable and guess what? - There may actually be a way through sponsorship in which we can offer our services totally free of cost to you so please make sure you talk to us about this! We guarantee to work with you throughout a project to ensure we all work to the benefit of both of our organisations. It’s all about working together!
To give you some background on our company, our company founder Colin Hopkins first got involved in sports media some 25 years ago diversifying into video in 2016. Initially the venture into video was only to provide promotion for his own club Lisburn Distillery Football Club but within a few months it became clear that the vision he had been given for video work was to go away beyond that initial goal.
The project for Lisburn Distillery took off massively and now since its launch in December 2016 the in house weekly TV Show that we produce for the club receives around 10,000 social media views per month – not bad for a club with around 100 supporters!
After having received several commendations for this work and numerous enquiries about providing video services a lot of soul searching was done with the decision being made to start a community investment company which would enable us to offer our services to other clubs, small charities & organisations. To date most of our work has been sport related but it is now our aim to diversify more into new areas so whatever your field please don't hesitate to get in touch
So that’s where we are at the moment, very much at the start of our journey but one in which we genuinely believe will flourish in the months and years ahead.
If you would like to chat more about how we can help you to promote your club, small charity or organisation within the community please don’t hesitate to get in touch via our contact form, we would love to hear from you
