Synth tracking session from Thursday, the Elektron Digitakt is acting as a sequencer for the Eurorack and providing sample playback. The Moog sub37 and Expressive E Osmose are both being tracked live

This is our main kit here - Q Drum Co. Copper with maple bearing edges. Sounds great in all tunings - when paired with our extensive mic locker, you’ll be taking home a world class recording. Pictured here with a mid 90s Yamaha Nouveau 14x4 Snare.

What have we got? This is our Tegeler VTRC (vari tube recording channel).
Its a console-style channel strip. Sounds great on bass guitar or vocals. It features both a 'Vari Tube' and Optical Compressor, a Pultec voiced EQ, and a valve based mic pre.

What have we got?
How about some synths today?
Arturia Polybrute, Moog Sub37, and the Expressive E Osmose are our keyboard-synths. The Sub37 came to the studio from a touring bassist, it may be full of battle scars but it rounds out a mix like nothing else. The Polybrute is the perfect semi-modular synth to bridge the gap between the DAW and Eurorack world, and the Steiner-Parker filter is is musical.
The Osmose is a creature all to itself. It’s a soundtrack machine.

First of our featured gear; ex-Marmozet’s Alpher Instruments Mako Mk1.
Custom built by the two man team at Alpher Instruments, this instrument toured the world with the Marmozets and has seen action on the Main Stage at the Reading Festival. Brass top, ebony and maple fingerboard, Birdseye maple neck, ash body, rounded out with a pair of Barekuckle supermassive P90 pickups and a Bigsby bridge, it’s basically a Les Paul gold top on steroids.

MLS will be opening its doors to the public on June 2nd for our first-ever Open Day! We're very keen to have some artists come in and play for those passing through, so if you’re up for playing a few songs and getting a feel for the space, drop us a message! It’s a great chance to check out the studio, meet fellow musicians, and be part of something new.
