The proof copy of Split, Splatt, Splott has arrived! Stories by Steven Harris, illustrations by Simon Goodway.

This cover had one job: to look like fun from across a room. Paint splashed behind big chunky letters in red, blue and green, three young detectives with magnifying glasses, and one speech bubble asking what on earth they are talking about.

Holding a proof for the first time is still one of the best parts of the job.

Forty-five years of holidays, told in limericks.

This is the cover I've just finished for Michael Williamson's Holiday Limericks 1974 to 2019. It's built from real holiday postcards, layered up with postmarks so it feels like tipping out a shoebox of memories from every trip.
