Make time to talk ❤️

Before we shared a life, we shared a lot of telephone conversations without distractions.

But when life gets busy and complacency sets in it’s not always easy to remember to
stop and talk calmly about what’s really on our mind.

A little reminder on Valentine’s Day to make time to talk honestly in all relationships that are important to you ❤️✨

Do you make time to make space in your head? Do you write down your thoughts?

If not, why not? ❤️✨

NEW EPISODE! “10 Years of Change”
2016 - 2026 ✨

We look back on a decade that changed everything for us.

This time 10 years ago, I was on anti depressants, grieving my mum whilst navigating the harsh and unexpected realities of divorce. Life was messy, and uncertain.

Patrick and I hadn’t yet met but when we did, later that year, what followed wasn’t instant magic but the building of a new relationship based on real, raw and honest conversations.

2019 stands out as a crazy, chaotic year made meaningful by planning our wedding and rebuilding a new home for our future.

The lesson? Even in the craziest of times, we still get to choose what matters to us even if mistakes are made in the chaos along the way.

Since then we have continued to change as we embrace new opportunities that fit with the life we want to create.

Takeaways include:

✨ Transition takes time
✨ You need to create space for reflection
✨ Have honest conversations
✨ Seek out support
✨ It’s about progress not perfection

We explore the emotional mix that comes with getting older; the fear, the gratitude, and the realisation that ageing is a privilege.

As always we share mindset tips, including the impact of surrounding yourself with young people.

Deciding that it’s actually “cool to get old” we invite our listeners to rethink how we view birthdays and ageing by “counting our blessings not the candles.”

Today would have been Patrick’s mum’s birthday. He was just 25 when she sadly died of cancer.

I lost my mum 10 years ago and my dad when I was pregnant with my daughter, Hannah. Both losses were sudden and unexpected.

Last night we attended “This is Me” where women who tragically lost their lives to secondary breast cancer were remembered so poignantly by their loved ones it felt like they were in the room ✨

Death being part of life doesn’t make loss easier to accept but talking our loved ones alive, remembering laughter, stories and moments that make us smile, takes the edge off pain even momentarily.

Do you agree? ❤️
