"It was twenty years ago today.."

On this date in 2005, The Albany played their first ever gig. This pic, taken today, is of Ste aka Frank Button's setlist, naturally, scribbled on a beer mat.

We didn't know what was to come next, but we loved every minute of the daftness that followed. Well, nearly every minute, but that was so long ago.. too long.

We've not been able to do the podcast for some time due to adult life getting in the way and not turning out how we'd have hoped two decades ago (I'm not sipping champagne in my French villa for a start..) but fear not, new episodes are written and will be recorded and released in due time.

For one brief day, the original Albany trio were all in the same postcode. We had every intention of recording the mythical 14th episode of the podcast, but we got... Waylaid.

Every so often, we get sent pictures like this, from folk who have made pilgrimages to The Albany, to see it in real life.

This always blows our head, but it does raise the question as to whether or not we should do a live podcast show from there, the next time Frank Button is on UK shores..?
