9x9 Records are delighted to be releasing, for the first time ever as a physical product, Captain Pop's - 688 Comeback Special.

Captain Pop is another impressively buoyant musical project of the effervescently creative Steve Roberts along with musical accomplice Brian Chin. Recorded in the 90s on a Tascam 688 cassette multitrack recorder, the record is a true curio that finally gets the release on physical format that it has always deserved.

On September 5th, 2025, 688 Comeback Special will be released on CD and a super exclusive CD + Casette boxset. Preorder now. This is the CD only variant.
