Joined a fascinating inspiring and educational walk down Princes Avenue L8 to Princes Park this week. Thank you for the invite Sonia it was hugely enjoyable and met some lovely people. Big thanks to the knowledgable guides who shared their time and stories.
I’d highly recommend this guided walk to anyone who’d like to know more about the history of the area and the struggles and triumphs of its people through difficult times.
In many ways it has changed so much since I lived there in the 1990’s but it has sustained its diverse and beating heart.
Fabulous to see the boullevard being bought back to life.
Take time to stroll it and check out the informative plinths as you go, culminating in a fabulous memorial to Nelson Mandela in the Park. When we arrived there at the culmination of the walk the space was being used creatively by some youths as a makeshift barber shop 😀
