📣Media Law Training- 7th of October, 13:30-16:00📣
We’re delighted to confirm that free tickets for media law training are already available to purchase from the Guild website! You will need to purchase a free membership to the society first. (Please note for new students, you are not able to purchase society memberships until the 1st of September).
Media Law is the backbone of Student Media, and this training will equip you with the essential skills you need. You will learn about deformation and slander, copyright, reporting laws, and how to protect yourself as a Student Journalist.
💻For Publishing, this gives you the right to publish your own articles without the approval of the Publishing Chair. Media Law is not essential but strongly recommended, particularly if you are interested in political writing.
🎙️For Podcasts, this allows you to check podcasts before they are uploaded. While every individual is not required to be media law trained, a high number of media law trained editors are necessary.
📻For Radio, it is essential for at least one media law trained individual to be present for a broadcast to take place. If you are interested in radio, please make every effort to attend Media Law training
