Pet scam:
Targeting lost pets posts.
Fraudsters pose as a Rescue or someone that's found your pet and ask for money, claiming to have found missing pets.
The RSPCA have received reports that people are claiming to have found missing pets and are then being asked for bank details over the phone or by text/messenger, either to pay for life-saving surgery, vet's fees, or fees for the pets to be returned.
Please be vigilant.
