And the lads have officially been let loose in Santa hats 🎅😂

We’ll be closing the body shop on Tuesday 23/12/25 so we can eat our body weight in mince pies 🥧, argue over Christmas music 🎶, and pretend we’re not thinking about cars for a whole two weeks…

Watch Out for ‘Frozen Fuel Caps’ - a Sneaky Winter Issue 🧊⛽

When temperatures drop, moisture can freeze around your fuel cap or inside the release mechanism. This can make the cap difficult to open — or completely jammed — right when you need fuel the most.

Why it happens:

🔹 Water collects around the cap seal and freezes
🔹 Condensation can freeze the latch mechanism
🔹 Road salt + snow mix can stiffen moving parts

How to prevent it:
✨ Wipe around the cap after snowy or wet drives
✨ Apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the rubber seal
✨ Keep your fuel door clean from slush and grit
✨ Never force a frozen cap — it can snap the hinge

Don’t Forget to Clear Snow Off Your Wing Mirrors 🚘🧊

Driving with snow-covered wing mirrors is more dangerous than people realise. In winter, snow and ice can block your side visibility completely and even freeze the mirror mechanism in place.

Why it matters:

🔹 Reduced visibility increases accident risk
🔹 Mirror heaters can burn out if forced to melt heavy ice
🔹 Frozen mirrors can crack when knocked
🔹 Snow falling off mirrors while driving can blindside you

What to do:
✨ Gently brush mirrors before setting off
✨ Use de-icer spray rather than scraping
✨ If your car has heated mirrors, let them warm naturally
✨ Avoid trying to force frozen mirrors to move
