Shared Frequencies is a new series built around connection, cultural exchange, and the universal language of music. Each installment will spotlight artists from a different part of the world, creating a meeting point for distinct musical identities, personal histories, and creative perspectives.

The inspiration for its first chapter grew from my long-standing admiration for Argentina and the wider South American electronic music community. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to meet, collaborate with, and draw inspiration from many remarkable producers across the continent. Their warmth, openness, and deeply expressive approach to music have had a lasting impact on me.

That connection became even more meaningful during my recent trip to Argentina, where I had the opportunity to perform at Palacio Alsina in Buenos Aires. Experiencing the country’s culture and passionate dance floor firsthand reinforced everything I had admired from afar. There is an unmistakable emotional depth to the Argentine scene—a genuine understanding of storytelling, patience, and the musical journey that strongly resonates with my own creative outlook.

The first instalment of Shared Frequencies celebrates that connection by bringing together music from Paul (AR), David Calo, Andy Arias, Mercurio, and Rafael Abiramia. Each artist offers an individual perspective, yet together they share a creative frequency—reflecting the depth, imagination, and character that continue to make South American electronic music so compelling.

This is only the beginning. Shared Frequencies is intended to become an ongoing platform for discovering and highlighting music from around the world honouring the places, people, and creative communities that remind us how far music can travel and how powerfully it can bring us together.

Gorge - Osane - Sudbeat

Gorge makes his debut on Sudbeat with a brace of aural treats. 



Co-owner of the seminal House imprint 8Bit (with Nick Curly), DJ, producer, and founder of the ‘Mannheim Sound’, Gorge is an integral part of Germany’s house music history. A drummer and keyboard player in his youth, the arrival of electronic music in the early ‘90s inspired Gorge to make dance music releasing on many big labels including Mobilee, Plastic City and Diynamic. His signature deep and groovy style has seen him branch out onto more progressive imprints such as Bedrock and Global Underground and techy labels such as Toolroom and Tronic Soundz. 



Opening with ‘Osane’ that no-nonsense style is self-evident from the first beat. Tough rhythms lay the foundations on which ethereal vocals breathe life into the groove. Invigorated by the first break, the track grows in energy right until the final bar. A work of dancefloor majesty. On the flipside, ‘Pajam’ builds and builds. Starting with a bongo groove, deep rubbery bass anchors the track firmly allowing groovy stabs and airy pads to drift into earshot and raise the epicness factor to 11. Genius.

Bombossa Brothers, Prana Flow and True Motion collaborate to bring us the moody vibed, and ultra cool vocalled ‘Heartbeats’. Full of drama, and hypnotic flavours, some big bass, and the infectious vocal.

Hype Glow step up on remix duties, taking things deeper and tougher, utilising many of the original elements, but bringing the dirt and grittiness for additional tension on the dance floor.
