Established in 2008 with the aim of making good quality, affordable recordings for the local music scene, Crosstown Studios now occupies a custom built, 1,000 square foot warehouse just 10 minutes drive from Liverpool City Centre. The studio, not only has the latest in recording technology, but is also fully stocked with well maintained amps and instruments, ready for you to use. We pride ourselve

s on providing a comfortable, private and creative space for musicians to feel relaxed and at home. With free parking, free WiFi, and best all… free coffee, Crosstown has become a home away from home for many musicians.

So, after 25 years of almost getting a Roland Space Echo, I finally pulled the trigger and it doesn’t disappoint 😍

This RE-201 unit is a Japanese version from 1975, lovingly restored and sounding absolutely unreal!

Did you know, our studio is just up the road from the original Phillips’ Sound Recording Services, the studio where The Quarrymen—John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lowe, and Colin Hanton—recorded their first-ever tracks in 1958.

These included Buddy Holly’s “That’ll Be The Day” and McCartney’s first original song, “In Spite of All the Danger.”
