Established in 2008 with the aim of making good quality, affordable recordings for the local music scene, Crosstown Studios now occupies a custom built, 1,000 square foot warehouse just 10 minutes drive from Liverpool City Centre. The studio, not only has the latest in recording technology, but is also fully stocked with well maintained amps and instruments, ready for you to use. We pride ourselve

Little piano update; After taking all the keys out, they were all looking like they’d seen better days, so while I’m waiting for the new felts to arrive, I decided to sand them all back, remove anything that might make them catch, and scrub all the tops ✨

Next step, get the new felts in, resit the keys and try and tackle the tuning 😬🫠

Started the task of refurbing our new piano today! Lifted a few keys to reveal decades of dust, clothes tags and spiders webs, so decided they should all come out 😬

Most of the old felts had perished and fell apart as you touched them, so I removed everything and will wait for the replacements to arrive while I work on cleaning up the keys.

This room is where we me and met at the Songwriting Challenge many years ago, and our friends hosted some of the first ever shows in the building ❤️

This RE-201 unit is a Japanese version from 1975, lovingly restored and sounding absolutely unreal!
