Meet the owner, Al Groves ✶♫⋆

After moving to Liverpool for university, Al was invited to become manager and resident producer of the Motor Museum in 2012. Later, he was enthusiastically entrusted with the ownership of the studio by local legend Andy McCluskey. Al Groves is now a platinum record engineer and producer, with clients including Bring Me The Horizon, The Sherlocks, STONE, Crawlers, Cast and Blanket.

Al Groves:

I am the proud owner of The Motor Museum. Together with the team I curate the sonic palette, design the environment, and optimise the client experience and recording services that it offers.

I think an inspiring environment has such a positive impact on creativity, and the presentation of a studio reflects the attitude of the people behind it.

Studio’s are places where amazing people come together to create remarkable art, and it is a huge privilege to be among the community of incredible talent that frequent my studio.

I promote a culture that always strives for excellence and supports people to own their successes and recognise others’. I believe anything is possible if you work hard enough, and ambition can be incredibly powerful.

Music and record-making permeate my entire life, but outside of work my other big pleasures are my family, tiki cocktails, Formula One and BMX.

Meet , the Motor Museum’s Creative & Communications Manager (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)

Rose:
As Creative & Communications Manager, I run the Motor Museum’s socials. You’re talking to me when you’re all up in our DMs! My role is to take photographs and videos of our beautiful studio, lovely team and inspiring clients, as well as collaborating with industry leading companies.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m working with my band, deep diving Pinterest and playing with my sphynx cats. You can usually find me somewhere on Lark Lane with a friend & a matcha 𖤣.𖥧.𖡼.⚘

Did you know suggests a phone ban when recording in the studio?

Of course this eradicates distractions, but more importantly, it gives the mind a break from outside influence, meaning what you make in the studio is completely unique & from the heart.

The Motor Museum is here to help you cultivate the sound of your soul, encourage true creativity, experiment without fear.

Is it corny? No, because it works 😉

Meet .pierpoint , our Studio Manager ٩(^ᗜ^ )و ´-

Sam:
As Studio Manager at The Motor Museum, I oversee all the day-to-day operations of the studio, from managing sessions and schedules to ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. If you’re booking time with us, there’s a good chance I’ll be the one on the other end of the call or email helping you get everything sorted.

When I’m not managing the studio (and keeping our indoor jungle of plants alive), I’m behind the drums, gigging regularly around the UK and working as a producer with my own clients right here at The Motor Museum. Outside of music, I’m a big Formula 1 fan and can usually be found keeping up with the latest F1 gossip between sessions.
