The conversation began with concerns about the messages that had been sent to a child.
“Listen. I know, but you demanded this child tell you that they loved you.”
The man responded,
“I knew what I did, but it was just words. Just words. I knew what I did, especially with a kid.”

“You kept going on about wanting them to be your boyfriend.”

“There are people right next to me.”

“Yeah, because you're not going to talk to me. What is your problem?”

“Every time you spoke to this child, all you ever said was, ‘Are you alone? Put your hand in your pants. Where's your mommy? Put your hand in your pants.’”

“I can't listen to every message.”

“I can promise you now, on my mother's life, my grandparents' lives, I've never in my life looked at or touched anyone.”

“On a couple of Sundays you blocked them. You were obviously busy on those days, whether it was football, the bar, or family commitments. Whatever the reason, you never seemed to have conversations with them on Sundays.”

“But what you did during the other six days of the week was very different.”
