Mobility scooter insurance. Not the brief we expected.

But Happy Hour Productions brought us a script built around a simple truth - a mobility scooter is not just a vehicle. It is independence. It is the big hill at the end of the road and the flask of tea at the top.

Our job was to make sure the music felt that. Cheeky and triumphant, giving Annie the confident boost she needed for her climb. The kind of score that winks at the audience without ever undercutting the heart of the story.

Sometimes the most unexpected briefs turn into the most memorable work. This is one of them.

Recording a radio commercial with Stephen Fry this week was one of those pinch-me moments.

There is always that split second of nerves when you’re about to work with someone you’ve admired for years. You want everything to run perfectly, and you quietly hope the studio gremlins take the day off.

But from the first take, it was simply a joy.

Utterly professional, razor sharp, effortlessly funny, and generous with his performance. The kind of session that reminds you why you love what you do.

What a legend. Very grateful to have been part of it.
