Because of incidences of norovirus, we are temporarily closing wards at Prince Philip Hospital, Bronglais Hospital and Withybush Hospital from today, 22 May 2026. We are asking visitors to only attend sites if they are well.

The decision to temporarily close the wards to all but essential visitors has been taken due to cases of norovirus circulating in wards at hospital sites and in the community.

Some essential visiting will be allowed in exceptional circumstances. We are asking visitors to contact the wards or hospital switchboard for further guidance.

The restrictions will be in place until further notice, and the situation will be monitored on a regular basis.

We popped down to Radio BGM in Prince Philip Hospital today to record another radio show with Steff Griffiths. Special guest Alison Saunders talked about her upcoming one-woman play 'Thunder of Freedom' that is all about suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst, who helped women to win the right to vote 1918.
Joy Jones talked about the new menu just launched at the House by Chef Simon and Leeanna, as well as other events you need to keep an eye out for. We are really looking forward to listening!
