We didn't do traditional feast of foods at Christmas eve. Kids request for Kimchi as we grilled a lot of fish, no one wants to eat meat for few days. No Christmas gifts too.
They seems very happy just being with family & feel blessed that they got a farm to go back during Uni break. We processed more chickens and freeze loads of fish. We had karaoke last night...
Today, we're opening the farm for all kids in the community for Christmas games, prices & laughter...
For me, above all material things this is one of the best Christmas as adult - being back HOME..

Dave's 2nd garage/shed is done, when we are old, we can downsize and move here😅

Will just take a break for few days in preparation for Christmas. This is our first Christmas here. We will have Filipino & British tradition. Filipino is waiting for Christmas eve to arrive then eat at midnight😅 Then, I will prepare Christmas lunch for everyone. Will do the games & meal for local kids too...
Some nephews/nieces are back here and they were helping me to process chickens, so far we put 20pcs in the freezer. One nephew told me, he can add to his skills how to processed chickens... not all young generations are prepared to see the process of the foods they ate and I'm glad they don't mind the processing. Will teach them how to pressure can and make sausages after Christmas.
In between processing, they shared how their city friends in the University don't know some life skills. They we're telling me when they finished Uni and work abroad, they will buy a farm here in the Philippines. They were born & raised here so they are not city oriented young ones. They always have a good memories around the farm which made them loves being in the open space.
We always showed them how to care of animals eversince, one of them in his Uni feeding 1 cat and he said that cat invited more of friends and his classmates started to moan that many cats are pooing & peeing around their dormitories...

Just paint then I can turn over Dave's 2nd garage to him so he can put the doors & make his own work tops. Plus a little driveway for his ride-on mover to enter the garage. He preferred to works alone and me too, so I don't need to interpret🤪
Of course, this built is not finished without "marital arguements" because I love to give my opinions🤔

Anyway, he got his fishing pond & garage within 5months of arriving here. Maybe I can start my own projects 🫣 and boxes from his barns in Wales can be open and not all over our house!

Few times of the year when the family from the city & extended family visited here and they all slept in our mother's house. It's nice to see kids & adult having fun for their long weekend here in the farm.To be fair they are pretty quiet in the pool area even late at night. My nieces & nephews are my guards, they all knew certain rules: no rubbish, no karaoke, only loud music...

She is my mum's hen and she hatched 8 chicks... she always take her babies infront of our house morning and late afternoon as she knows, I fed them with chick's crumble. The rest of the day, they are foraging foods and find shelter anywhere at night.
We call this native chickens, they have the strongest immune system... they are the best broody too and mother too...
