The last few snippets from the South of France 🇫🇷

Climbing in Buoux is the most special experience I think I’ve ever had whilst climbing outside…and I can fully understand why people liken it to an outdoor climbing gym…because the routes are phenomenal and they go on forever and ever and ever

Another core memory was climbing an Arête above the prison in Marseille. The guide book explained it’s the one way to feel the freedom of climbers when climbing with jaw dropping views…and the sounds of the prisoners cries from below…who all definitely saw us and were screaming their heads off 😅

I have that seeping sadness now that I’m home. I just know I’m made for living out of cars and vans, exploring and pottering through life. But don’t get me wrong, a nice warm bed at home is also not one to be missed 😅

I feel incredibly lucky and grateful for these two weeks away. It’s given me wonderful memories with my best friend and re-affirmed to me that this is the life I want to live - on the road 🚐

What a wonderful little life x

The River Dart might just be my favourite river in the country. Just look at how luscious and green everything is 🤩

A mid day wild dip is all you need to blow away the cobwebs and fire up your mind for the rest of the day at work 💻

After two weeks in the South of France…I think this day has to be the best one yet.
An early start to the best Calanque of them all… En Vau…hiking to bright crystal blue water. We climbed in the shade, fell asleep in the sun, deep water solo’d…swam around the climbers, jumped into the sea from the cliffs, and watched the sunset as we climbed 4 pitches to the top of the Calanque (because walking up hill wasn’t an appealing exit route)

I am incredibly grateful for the feeling of absolute exhaustion at the end of a day like this. Getting back to the car, soaked from the sea, gatecrashing campsites for a shower and that feeling of sinking into bed …ahhh it’s fulfilling 😌

The Calanques National Park is one big playground and one I won’t ever get bored of exploring. In just one afternoon, we took in all of these views 🤩

For both hikers and climbers…this place is paradise 💛

Living life in the Calanque National Park 😎 a place I hadn’t heard about until recently…but it’s always fun to book a trip to go and explore a new place ?! With the temperatures reaching up to 30 degrees during the day it’s almost impossible to climb, buuuutt when the views are as good as this…it’s kinda hard to say no 😌

This is what it looks like to road trip to the South of France in a Duster 😎
So far we’ve slept every night in the back of the car using the sleep pack. Given the nature of Marseille, living out of a car is so much more accessible than if you were to take a van. When you have a car as good as the Duster…well, it’s just a seamless experience all round. Now I just need to find a shower 😅

Usually I’m the person who wakes up 5 mins before work starts when working from home. But these lighter mornings and clear skies have been giving me the motivation I needed to get outside and seize the day.

Don’t get me wrong…by the afternoon, I was flagging 😅 but it was SO worth it…and it made sitting at my desk easier 💻

I am very Lucky to have a hybrid job role which allows me to call the back of my van with a pretty view my office some days.
