Last night, we danced for Yamz.

We came together at The Ministry in London to celebrate the life of my DJ partner, label and production partner, and one of my best friends-Andy Williams, aka Yam Who? It was a night of music, memories, and pure love, all in support of his beautiful family.

People flew in from across the globe not just to pay respects, but to celebrate the joy, soul, and magic that Andy brought into our lives. It was a tribute the only way it ever could be through dancing, good vibes, and proper feel-good tunes that had the whole room locked in.

Every time one of your tracks played, the room lit up! It felt like you were right there with us. That cheeky smile, that cool little shoulder dance, we all felt it. You weren’t just a superlative producer, DJ, or pioneering label head, you were, and always will be, the heart of our scene.

It was pure disco royalty with Seamus Haji Saucy Lady Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy Severino Panzetta Horse Meat Disco Michael Gray Dave Lee JN and The Reflex who all played for free on the night.

Big shout to Mo and Travis from Ministry - we got there in the end!

You will never be forgotten and will remain in our hearts forever.

Hi everyone,

i wanted to let you know that, due to lower-than-expected ticket sales, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to move Dance for Yamz from the main Ministry of Sound venue to their Private Members Club, which is just around the corner.

All tickets remain valid and will be honoured on the door. While we won’t be in the main room, we’re still going ahead with an amazing line-up, including Dave Lee JN, The Reflex, Michael Gray, Cosmo, Seamus Haji, and Al Dixon. The format will be slightly different now, with our headliners playing extended sets, and many of the original support acts coming along to show love and support in the room.

We understand this may be a disappointment, but the new space has a lovely intimate vibe (200–300 cap) one set of decks, and a outdoor area so it will still be a busy and special night.

Most importantly, 100% of the proceeds are still going directly to Andy’s family, and this event remains about coming together, celebrating his life, and honouring his memory through music and community.

The event will now run from 7:30pm to 1am at Ministry’s Private Members Club.

Thank you so much for the continued support and we really hope to see you there.

We have not been able to post here yet, but wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that on 15th May, the global dance community will unite at Ministry of Sound for an unforgettable night in his honour.

Calling All Midnight Riot DJs & Producers!

We’re bringing together the Midnight Riot family for a special event on May 15th in London, in support of Andy’s family. This will take place at one of London’s most iconic venues, and the lineup is already shaping up to be a who’s who of disco and house music.

If you’d like to play or support in any way, please drop me a direct message or comment below. I won’t be able to fit everyone in, but I want to involve as many Riot artists and DJs as possible.

As many of you are aware Andy Williams has recently passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, sadly leaving behind a loving wife and two beautiful children.

As well as very much being a family man, a very loving husband and father, Andy was a wonderful friend and support to many.

As an artist he was a prolific producer and remixer under his Yam Who? pseudonym and founded his own independent record labels ISM and Midnight Riot. His passion for music saw him working relentlessly, releasing and supporting music for many artists, putting much of his time and energy into the music scene he loved.

With the family’s blessing we have organised this fundraiser to alleviate some of the sudden financial burden these unexpected events have put on Andy’s loving family, and to enable them to give him the funeral and peaceful resting place that we would all want Andy to have. We want to help them through this daunting and challenging time with the care and love fitting for our friend that you knew as Andy, Yam Who or maybe just as Yams. A man who put others first, made many dreams come true, and brought love and laughter to all that knew him from his close family and friends to the music community at large.

Your support is much appreciated and we hope this fundraiser will also be a platform where you can share your condolences to his family, and if you feel so, write a little anecdote about your time with Andy and the joy he brought to you.
