I have a new baby in my kitchen

I was at the shop yesterday and wanted to buy fresh basil leaf but immediately I sighted this potted basil plant I grabbed it.

I want to experiment with it and see how long it will last.
Meanwhile, if you want that fresh curry leaf flavour in your stew, basil leaf is the secret.

You can now call me Mrs Basil 😂 because I will use this basil in almost all my dishes 😁

Sunday Lunch served just the way I love it 😍
Rice and beans with Ofe akwu (banga stew).

I fed the kids and put them to bed before I dismantled this plate of goodness. I didn’t want any disturbance while eating 😂

Although one wanted to betray me but before she finished climbing down the stairs, I was done eating 😁

Yes some days, you just don’t need distractions while eating so that the food go enter well well.

I hope am not the only mum that does this 🙄😂

Whether Oyibo people call it Monkey nut or peanut

I just ate ground nut 🥜 today since I came to this country.
It tasted like the ones from home and this made my day. I bought it plenty at a good price but remembered to take picture when I got tired of eating 😂

Back-to-School Chronicles ✨

This term is special because my daughter just started school, and honestly, I was clueless about what to buy. At least I had a little idea. I wanted to buy some of her back to school items online.I even saved some items in my online cart.

But lo and behold, I entered Asda for weekly grocery shopping and couldn’t resist the beautiful back-to-school things I saw 😂. Before I knew it, I had added a lunch pack and school bag to my basket.

Now here’s the funny part, my 1-year-old, who isn’t anywhere near to school yet, started crying for her own lunch pack too 😂. Guess what? I ended up buying doubles of everything.

By the time we got home, everyone was parading around the house with their bags and lunch boxes. Imagine if I didn’t buy for my baby, wahala go Dey 😅

But the funniest part? Madam that just resumed school carried her bag from morning till night—eating, playing, even sleeping with it. Bag and owner were inseparable 😂.

Thank God school has finally started. At least her body don Dey calm down small small.

My prayer is that our Children will make us Proud 🙌

Yesterday was my daughter’s first day of school!

After 3 beautiful years at home, she had been waiting so eagerly for this moment. To my surprise she walked in with so much excitement and confidence—no tears at all! 💕

I’m so grateful and happy to see her step into this new stage of life.
May God continue to bless, guide, and protect all our little ones as they begin this school journey. 🙏❤️

Departure ✨

After a refreshing breakfast, we packed our bags and headed home.

One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the food and the serenity of the hotel. It gave me the perfect chance to relax and recharge for the tasks ahead.

The hotel also had a sparkling, temperature-regulated swimming pool 🏊‍♀️— sadly, I didn’t pack my swimwear this time, but I won’t be making that mistake again! 😉

It was truly a great time to unwind before getting back to the hustle. 💪

Breakfast time at the hotel! 🌞🍽️

When I was booking, I made sure to tick that “with breakfast” option because abeg, I cannot be traveling back on an empty stomach 😂. Yes, it made the price higher, but omo, it was worth it!

Breakfast ran from 6:30–11:30, and we strolled in around 10:00 (late risers gather here 🤗 ). What we met wasn’t just breakfast — it was a whole FEAST! Buffet style, plenty of options, food surplus everywhere.

We ate to our satisfaction, and I was just smiling that I didn’t think about the money that day 😂.
