We've got some ✨ BIG NEWS ✨ We're moving to Noho! 📍After just shy of 20 years on Poland Street, we're getting some new digs... and some new team members.

🤝 Absolute are delighted to be joining forces with ENVY Advertising to form an unparalleled creative facility. We'll still be offering the award-winning editorial, colour, VFX and animation you know us for, but from our new home on Mortimer Street.

🔊 And what's more, our team will be bolstered by ENVY Advertising’s established, award-winning sound team. ENVY Advertising will be operating under the Absolute banner, whilst ENVY’s broadcast facility will continue to operate its long-form business under its existing identity.

💨 Clients will benefit from the full gamut of craft via a new, super-speedy . And the building will undergo a total renovation! The new facility will boast:

✨ Three state-of-the-art sound studios, two of which licensed by Dolby for Atmos
✨ Three grading suites
✨ Multiple VFX suites
✨ A cinema room
✨ A rooftop terrace/bar

Did we mention the rooftop terrace?!

💥The joint venture is a timely meeting of minds and heralds a commitment to world-class and state-of-the-art from both Absolute and the ENVY group.

✨ EPIC ✨ new work for Lionsgate+. Even if we do say so ourselves.

Viewers are pulled, quite literally, into the heart of the action, with Absolute Post, Untold Studios and Future Deluxe each designing a stylised organ to emphasise the shock, suspense and humour synonymous with Lionsgate+'s content.

🫀 It was matters of the heart for Absolute Post, who were tasked with the and ex*****on of this vital circulatory organ, reachable through a macro nasal passage. The final *****on is a beating, geological-inspired heart, illuminated via a constant light prism set within an enchanting chamber.

New team member alert! ⚡️ Meet Gustavo 'Gus' Ribeiro, who joins us as our new Lead Compositor.

Originally from Brazil, Gus has held previous Compositor roles at Untold Studios, The Mill and Framestore, and has worked on award winning TV shows like 'The Crown', as well as BAFTA/Oscar nominated movies like 'Avengers: Infinity War'. In adland, his portfolio is equally as impressive - he's collaborated with directors such as Dougal Wilson, Sam Pilling and Chris Balmond on notable projects including John Lewis & Partners’ ‘Excitable Edgar’ and Amazon.com’s ‘An Unlikely Friendship’.

Gus comments: “Having freelanced at Absolute previously, it was clear that this was an environment I could easily make a permanent home.”

The One Show Awards. 🏆 So, SO great to see Dove's 'Reverse Selfie' campaign take home a whopping 9 pencils at The One Club for Creativity awards, as well as five merits!

Among them, were two bronze awards for the film part of the campaign, which we're truly proud to have been a part of.

Congrats, Ogilvy UK, and everyone else who worked on it!

We're delighted to welcome Mark Pinheiro to the team as our new VFX Supervisor! ✨

To say Mark's career has been varied would be an understatement. His portfolio boasts a plethora of award-winning work: Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’ and Martin Scorsese’s ‘Hugo’ scored an and a for VFX each, with season two of ‘The Witcher’ also achieving the latter. His work on season six of ‘Game Of Thrones’ scored a VFX , as did BBC’s miniseries, ‘Man In An Orange Shirt’.

Meanwhile ITV’s ‘Dancing On Ice’ spot won at awards and in music, Klaxons’ ‘Twin Flames’ scored best VFX at the and Coldplay’s ‘Daddy’ won at the as well as The Drum Awards. And that's just the tip of the iceberg!

Mark's spent the last 20 years crafting VFX at world renowned facilities like Goldcrest Post, The Mill, MPC, Screen Scene Post Production and Framestore, but he's also obtained production credits both in front of and behind the camera during his 30+ year career. Teaching adds another string to his bow and he's trained many of London's artists via Escape Studios, where he developed the nickname 'Offline IMDB'.

Mark comments: “Absolute are one of the last standing examples of the old school post house model and really pride themselves on running a decent, fair and respectable studio. I’m really excited to be joining such a fantastic legacy of artists.” Praise indeed!

The honesty and perseveration of Absolute, Annual 2021 Gold & Silver winner

The Annual 2021 winners have been revealed, with some of the most exciting companies in the history of Creativepool. Who are these amazing people and why do they represent the 'most' in the realm of creativity?

The answer is clear when looking at Absolute Post and their winning work. From total VFX feasts to campaigns with a clear, humane and authentic purpose, the post-production agency has experience working on a range of different projects with the highest achievable quality at all times. With just a couple of specifically aimed submissions, the team won a Silver and a Gold this year. If you've been following The Annual for long enough, you know that winning one of these is a gigantic achievement by itself – let alone two.

In this Annual 2021 Spotlight, we are learning more about the team at Absolute and what made their submissions so special.

Jasmine Cooper joins us as Flame Artist, whilst Heidi Prescott joins as Junior CG Artist.

Absolute’s MD, Dan Bennett, comments, “We’re delighted to welcome Jasmine and Heidi to the team. At Absolute, we’re passionate about investing in young talent. There’s a lot to be done when it comes to diversity within the industry, but watching fresh talent develop as they progress through the ranks is a total delight and I can’t wait to witness this with our latest recruits.”

Absolute have strengthened their VFX and CG departments with the appointment of Flame Artist, Jasmine Cooper and Junior CG Artist, Heidi Prescott.

A big Absolute welcome to Tommy Coulter-Liston, who joins the team as Nuke Artist! 👋

A lover of the entire filmmaking process, Tommy recently supervised on-set for Nike's collaboration with tennis star, Emma Raducanu, and has also crafted work for clients including TOYOTA, adidas and The Sun.

“I’m looking forward to pushing myself and becoming a better artist”, he says of his new position. “I love what I do - I’m always making funny little VFX videos to amuse my children! The new hybrid working model has given me more opportunities to watch them grow, and I’m really thankful for that.”
