To round off our festive travel series, we’re heading out to sea. From calm crossings to busy evenings onboard, a little preparation can go a long way. Here are three tried-and-tested tips from our seasoned PG travellers to help make travelling by sea smooth, comfortable and considered. ⚓✨

Tip One: Timesaver 🕒
Beat the elevator queues for dinner.
Heading down 10 to 15 minutes early helps you avoid the busiest lift times, giving you a calmer start to the evening and more time to enjoy what’s onboard.

Tip Two: Wellbeing ✨
Bring a small sea-sickness kit.
Ginger chews, seabands or a light anti-nausea remedy can make all the difference. A simple addition that helps you stay comfortable and fully present throughout the journey.

Tip Three: Top Tip ⭐️
Use an over-the-door hanger to maximise cabin space.
Cabins can be compact. A simple organiser instantly creates room for everyday essentials, keeping everything tidy, visible and easy to reach during busy days at sea.

That’s a wrap on our Christmas travel tips series. Whether by air, rail or sea, we hope these ideas help your journeys feel a little more seamless this festive season. Let us know your favourite onboard travel hack. 🎄

12/12/2025

For week two of our holiday travel tips, we’re swapping the airport for the station. With trains filling up and timetables tightening, here are three simple rail hacks from our seasoned PG travellers to keep your journey smooth, efficient and full of festive cheer. 🚆

Tip One: Timesaver 🕒
Pre-download your media before you board.
Train Wi-Fi can be patchy, especially on busy routes. Download your films, playlists and podcasts in advance for a smooth, uninterrupted journey.

Tip Two: Wellbeing ✨
Pack a picnic, because train food isn’t always the highlight.
Bring your own snacks (or a festive little picnic) so you’re not relying on limited onboard options. During Christmas travel, catering can sell out fast, and let’s be honest, it doesn’t always taste as good.

Tip Three: Top Tip ⭐️
Use a sturdy bike lock to secure your suitcase.
If you’re stowing luggage in an open rack, looping a heavy-duty bike lock through the handle and around the frame keeps your bag safe, steady, and easy to spot when it’s time to hop off.

More PG travel tips coming soon. In the meantime, what’s your go-to rail travel hack? 🎄

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and for many of us, it begins with a journey. At PriestmanGoode, we have you covered for all your transport tips, and first up is travelling by plane. With airports getting busier and holiday plans coming together, our team of seasoned PG travellers have gathered their favourite festive travel hacks to help make your journey smoother, more efficient and still full of Christmas cheer. :aeroplane::sparkles:

Tip One: Timesaver 🕒
The “Fragile” tag trick. Adding a fragile label to your checked luggage often means it’s handled with more care and is among the first bags to reach the carousel. A small detail that helps you get from plane to celebration just a little faster.

Tip Two: Wellbeing ✨
Pack a germ-shield throat spray. We recommend B-propolis as a natural way to help protect your throat in busy airports and on crowded flights. It’s a simple addition to your carry-on that can help you stay healthy throughout the holiday season.

Tip Three: Top Tip ⭐
Use vacuum-pack bags with a portable pump. Perfect for compressing chunky jumpers or freeing up extra space for gifts and festive treats. A smart packing hack that keeps your suitcase organised and holiday-ready.

Our branding team here at PG loved bringing these travel tips together for you, let us know if you have any more?

For PriestmanGoode, branding is a core part of how we design meaningful experiences, not just an add on.

Acting as brand Guardians to translate an organisation’s values into three-dimensional environments that are authentic, connected, and inspire curiosity.

Our strategy covers every detail: from wayfinding to livery, ensuring the brand story is delivered in details people can see, feel, and trust. One of our most recent case studies, showcasing an integrated design approach, was with , we defined a unified passenger experience, from the calligraphy-inspired logo to the bold, heritage-rooted colour palette.

Aligning design, culture, and strategy to achieve an elevated experience, not just an identity.

Through our Private Sanctuary concept, we set out to celebrate craftsmanship, material intelligence and forward-looking design choices that define the passenger luxury experience.

Our suppliers are an essential part of this process. These collaborations enable us to draw on specialised expertise, extend material possibilities and elevate the handcrafted element of our cabin designs.

Working closely with our partners, we developed a distinctive creative motif inspired by natural elements, colours and shapes. We also explored how sustainable innovation can feel at ease within a luxury interior, incorporating circular design principles and materials with exceptional aesthetic qualities.

translated a two-dimensional pattern into a richly detailed, couture-quality 3D embroidery inspired by antique tapestries.

Lastly, crafted two variations of a ginkgo leaf motif using leaves gathered from the artist’s own garden, resulting in an exquisite nature-inspired lacquer finish.

The result is an adaptive and dynamic widebody private aircraft interior designed for future travel, where personalisation, wellness and conscious material choices come together.

As a world-leading multidisciplinary design company recognised for pioneering innovative concepts and curating visionary passenger experiences, is renowned for its clever use of small spaces.

The development of Private Sanctuary began with a workshop on the evolution of luxury hosted by PriestmanGoode at the RedCabin Business Jet and VIP Interior Innovation Summit in Montréal in 2024. Participants explored the needs of four distinct passenger profiles, each illustrating a distinct vision of what will define luxury interiors in the future. The workshop generated insights into seamlessly integrated technology, wellness, personalisation, and how conscious material choices can support sustainability.

Building on these insights, the Private Studio team applied their extensive expertise in designing small, adaptive spaces to create a concept interior offering unparalleled comfort and nature-inspired finishes. As Ben Rowan, Director of PriestmanGoode, explains: “We have made sure that the space can really change and modulate, depending on the actual requirements of the user. Whether that’s working, sleeping, lounging, watching a film or using it as a gym. The overall architecture and bold forms takes the user into something quite different and not what they might expect onboard an aircraft.”

is delighted to mark nine years of collaboration with the through PG x RCA Textiles 2025: The Journey of a Resource.

Reflecting our continued efforts to supporting creative education and the role of designers in shaping more responsible futures, this partnership challenges students to explore material innovation in transport interiors.

This year’s brief focused on transforming a single material source, including wood, metal, plastic or a pure fibre/textile, and rethinking conventional approaches to producing a range of hard and soft outcomes. We placed an emphasis on creating products that are reusable, recyclable and biodegradable in a cohesive mixed mono-material palette.

The top honour selected this year is by Zitong Hao (.925), who investigated aluminium’s overlooked properties and questioned its association with rigidity. By experimenting with melting, welding, polishing, weaving, hammering, and embroidery, she developed the ‘Inflated Series’; a collection of sculptural furniture and interior products for transport interiors.

Her work highlights aluminium’s potential for sustainable, adaptable applications, reconfiguring a familiar material into innovative outcomes.

Zitong Hao has been awarded a four-week paid placement at PriestmanGoode, working alongside our in-house CMF design team, applying her material-focused approach to the Zero Take Away packaging project.

Huge congratulations, Zitong!
